Mrs. Berry was hostess for
the March meeting of the Tuck-,
ersmith Unit 1 Brucefield United
Church on Monday afternoon with
an attendance of 15. The theme.
for the meeting was Spring.
Mrs. J.McNaughton opened the
meeting with a poem ',Nature
yawned and Smiled". A hymn
was read I n unison and Mrs.
E. Thomson and Mrs. Berry
had charge of the devotion. Mrs.
Thomson read from Matthew 13
and spoke on seeds sown on
stony ground. Mrs. M. Haugh
gave an interesting talk on seeds
-., and the care of- bulbs. The Off-
ering was received and dedicated
by Mrs. Thomson. Mrs. Berry
closed this part of the meeting
with prayer.
Mrs. Stoll, president, chaired,
the business meeting. A St. Pat-
rick's Social and auction sale
was planned to be held at the
home of Mrs. Haugh on March
17th in the afternoon. Each mem-
ber is to invite a guest. Miss
Swan read a letter from Mrs.
McEwen who is spending the
winter in Wingham, also a Thank .
You card from' Mrs. Paterson
and Mrs. Marion Hill. The Eas-
ter Thankoffering will be held
at K le Church On April 9th.

Zurich, effective June 30, but
will continue as custodian. at
St. Boniface School.--'fie said he
would be willing to drive the
bus for extra curriculum act-
ivities at the school during the
day. His position as bus driver
will be advertised.

The Seaforth Junior Band led by Doctor C. E. Toll
provided a variety program on Sunday afternoon, in the
auditorium. Doug5 Hoover, as Master of Ceremonies for
the program, introduced the numbers which included several
selections by the band, a trombone duet, Don Bennewies,
Glen Stewart, guitar duet Albert Sisters; vocal duet Rose
Sisters; tap dancing Rose Marie Kelly and pianist Mrs. Rose.
The residents are looking forward to a return visit from this
band sometime during the summer.
The first company Girl Guides of Hensel/ visited the
home on Tuesday evening and presented Miss Ida Cunning-
ham with ,an afghan that had been knit by the girls as one
of their craft projects. Miss Cunningham has the honour
..of being the first lady resident of linronview. The Guide
leader, Mrs. Cduper, who _incidentally is an experienced
weaver- is starting her group -to work with band looms, -
that were made by some of the male residents of Huronvtew.
A full length movie "Jaunty Jalope" was shown on
Thursday family night. Farcy Brown of Clinton was in
charge of the projector assisted by Albert Colombe.
The Old Tyme Dance Club of Clinton are planning a
visit on Friday 17th (St. Pa-tricks) le the evening from 8 to 9.
On Monday the residents were once again treated to an
old tyme music session by Mr. Norman Speir and Mrs.
Mary Taylor.. This week's program, however, featured
guests namely Mrs. McReil and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Finlay
of GOderich who played the piano and violins respectively.
The special . attraction was a variety violin number played
by M. Howard Turner. The size of the crowd and the
applause which they gave indicated that the unique get-
together was a success in every way.. The volunteers
group from Goderich which offered their help with all
phases of the activity did an excellent job. Their time and
effort'vas sincerely appreciated.
