The Huron Expositor, 1972-02-03, Page 10Seaforth Community Hospital last Thursday following a brief illness. A rink composed of Gerald Smith and Graham Sholdice of Walton and Bill Campbell and John Patterson Jr. of Seaforth won the bonspiel at the Seaforth Curling Club. Alisson Traviss of Kit- chener spent a few days with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Herb Traviss while her parents, Df. and Mrs. Brian Traviss were snowmobiling with friends in the 411 al lburton district. ' John Van Vliet,c son of Mr. and Mrs. Jan Van Vliet Jr., has returned home from List- owel Memorial Hospital where he was a patient•for a few days. Neil Mcdayin Worn this area enjoyed skiing on the weekend at Madonna Mountain, Stowe and Jay Park, Vermont. Others that took in the same event were Murray Cardiff, president of the Hanover Ski Club, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Armstrong, Doug Lowe, Bruce Raymond, Maurine Hanna, Leo McDonald and Dr. Peter Hemingway. After dinner draws were made at Seaforth Curling Rink on the three sheepskin rugs, donated by Stewart McCall, Stewart Hum- phries and Herb Traviss. There were approximately 60 members present. Rev. Derwyn Docken opened the meeting with singing accom- panied by ,the church organist ' Mrs. Ian Wilbee. Mrs. Harvey Craig was appointed secretary for the evening. Mr. Docken introduced the guest speaker, Rev. Cliff Britton of Hensall, who In turn introduced Rev. New elders appointed were Harvey McClure, Ian Wilbee and Fred Dunk; 1972 stewards, Murray Dennis, Gerald Smith, Mervin Smith and Mel KnOx. Rev.
