On Sunday, Bob 'Wilson's rink
of Kay Sharpe, Bill Campbell Jr.
and Sharon Wilson travelled: to
:'Southampton in a bid to
ate Group 14 which was rep-
-resented, by Terry Bishop, Jo

Karen Graham from Galt In the
Rose Bowl playdowns.
In the first game Seaforth
came up with a win of 8 - 3,.
However 'in the second game
with Seaforth holding n a tie at
• the end of 9 and with the last
4 stone coming home; Bob threw
one' a bit too heavy t o giye
Galt the win 7-6. But the third
• game was different story. With
determination 'Written all over
theii• faces, the Seaforth rink
ended up with a 814 win to give•
them a spot in the All Ontario
Playdown in Brantford. This will
be a three day event on the week-
end of February 12. Our good
wishes go with you.
On Saturday the boys arrived
home from a whole week's curl-
ing ' in Quebec City's Inter-
national. Those from our Olub:
attending were Joe Murphy, Steve
McCall, Dick Box, Bill Leyburne
, and John McDonald of London
and Beecher Menzies rink of
Jack McDonald, Brussels, *Jack
Hodgins, Wingham, Earle Palm-
er and R, Caldwell; London.
Unfortunately they came home
trophyless, but with something
of more', value - memories
of the_Quebec hospitality.

represent our Club in the Int-
ermediates was held when Jack

ton in the first game of a round
robin series. on Sat: Jan 29th.in
Seaforth. Greg Butler opened the
scoring for Clinton, racking in 2
quick goals. • Bill O'Shea then
flashed the red light for Seaforth
-assisted hy,Ierome Aubin to make
the score 2 -1, Clinton scored
the only two pals in the second
period • by Graham and Irwin.
Danny Nolan found the mark in
the third period for Seaforth with
Jerome Aubin picking up another
assist on the play. AlthpughSea-
forth• played hard, time ran out
on them to make the final score
4 - 2 for Clinton.
Seaforth Bantams travelled to
Mitchell on Mon. Jan, 3.1 for the
second gaine of the series: Bar-
ry Lane opened the scoring tor
Seaforth in the first period as-
sisted by Jerome Aubin. Dietz
'scored for Mitchell to end the'
first period 1 - 1. Seaforth took
a two goal lead in the second per-
iod, with Danny Nolan scorhigtin-
assisted'and Jerome Auhin scor-
ing from Barry Lane. Mitchell
came back in the third period.to
tie up the game 3 - 3 with Smith
and Elliott scoring. •

in two ba-sketball games in Sea-
forth on Thursday. In the first
game the Sea-forth 'Seniors won
54 to 42 over the visitors with
Bill Kunz firing in 11 points and
Cast Holland 10 forSeaforth,
while top scorers for Listowel
were Dale Fleishaur with-14 and
Bill McLaughlin with 12 points.
The juniors played a close
game with Seaforth juniors in
front In the fifst quarter and
the Listowel players outplaying
them --for the' remainder with
Listowel winning 52 points and

James Flannery led the Sea-
forth. juniors with1.8 points but
they ran out of steam as the
game dreW to a close. Nigel Hall
