beef cattle operations in the south part of
Iluron County is on the farm of Grant Web-

Land Option For Brucefield
Central School Taken Up
An option on land for a central
public school to se.:ve the town-
ships of Stanley and Tuckersmith
and Bayfield, will be taken up by
the Huron County School Area 1,
from its present owner Robert P.
Allan, Brucefield. •
The land is on the Stanley Town-
ship (or West) side of Highway
4, one and a quarter miles south
of the village oE Brucefield.
The property has been under opt
ion since last summer, when decis-
ion to build the central school
was made.
Decision to take up the option
was made unanimously at a meeting
of the board at SS 10 Stanley
Township School on Monday evening,
January 17.
Four applications for the job
of secretary treasurer of the board
were received at that meeting, and
applicants were interviewed by the
hoard the next day in rte school
room at the Brucefield United
Church.
Successful applicant was Jack
Caldwell, a hairdresser at Hensall ,
who at $950.01) for year, win .1 the
lowest of the four tenderers for
the job.
Mr. Caldwell, who is proprietor
of the J and 3 ha;.r. dressing salon
in Hensall, is presently enrollad
in a -light school course in book-
keeping and accounting in Strat-
ford. He worked for two years at
the Seaf)rth branch of the Toronto-
Dominion Sank.
