Mr. and Mrs. Meakins and
their two sons, from Streets-
are occupying Mrs. Rog-
ers cottage for two weeks.
Mrs. Gerald Sturgeon a n d
two daughters returned to
Preston on Sunday after spend-
ing a week's holiday with Mr.
and Mrs. Ed Sturgeon. They
were accompanied by their
father, Gerald Sturgeon.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ander-
son and children. Science Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bisback,
Clinton, spent Sunday with
their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Sturgeon.
On Tuesday, August 11, a
delegation consisting of Brig.
F. A. Clift, H. H. Ormond, Jack
Tillmann, Alan Aylesworth and
Frank McFadden. went to '113-
ronto for an interview with
Mr. J. W. Spooner, Minister of
Municipal Affairs.
VISITS HAMILTON
George Mayor is visiting in
Hamilton with relatives for a
few days.
The Rev. and Mrs. Edward
C. Attwell and children, David,
Ruth and Michael, of Ottawa,
were guests at the Rectory on
Tuesday. He is a master of the
Junior Department of Ashbury
College there. He was Rector
of Gorrie, Fordwich and Wrox-
eter, in Huron Deanery, before
taking his present position in
Ottawa two years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. George E. Pip-
pard, son Allan, and daughters,
Rene and Anne, all of Sarnia,
were zuests at the Rectory on
Friday afternoon enroute borne
from a motor trip to Eastern
and Northern Ontario.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kookla
and sons Michael and Paul, of
Woodstock, (Ontario) visited
at the Rectory on Friday ev-
ening.
Dr. and Mrs. Gordon A. Al-
len and three children, Edmon-
ton, N.B. have returned to the
Little Inn to spend part of
their vacation with his parents
Professor and Mrs. R. L. Al-
len. Also visiting Professor and
Mrs. Allen are their daughter
and her husband, Mr. and Mrs.
B. Macintosh, Ottawa, who
with their four children are
staying at the Woodhome
Motel.
Recent guests with Miss
Phyllis Adams were Miss Al-
icia Element, Mrs. Muriel Rob-
inson, and Mr. and Mrs. A.
Harris, all of London.
This coming weekend, a rep-
resentative of the Canadian
Food Council will be coming to
the Little Inn to collect mat-
erial for an article on the Sun-
day "Hunt Breakfast" for
which the Little Inn is noted.
Miss Margaret Evans, was a
recent house guest with Miss
Phyllis Adams. Also spending
this week with Miss Adams at
Primrose Cottage, is Mrs. Al-
ice Selhnan of New York City,
Mrs. Sellrnan is the mother of
Mrs. J. Burton Thomas, wife
of the Rector of the Church of
the Heavenly Rest, New York
City. Also with Miss Adams is
her niece, Miss Marcia Gutsell,
London.
Mrs. H. A. Andress and Sus-
an have returned to London
after staying with her mother.
Mrs. G. Aitken, since the early
part of June. Cathie is remain-
ing with her grandmother until
Labour Day.
Mrs. Ken Ferguson, London,
is spending a few days at the
Little Inn.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown, Lake-
shore Road spent last week in
Detroit Their son and daught-
er-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jame-
R. Brown, Jimmy and Jerry,
together with Mr. and Mrs.
Don Green, occupied their cot-
tage for the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mc-
Crinunon, Montreal, are in the
village this week visiting their
aunt, Mrs. S. H. McEvoy at
the "Stonehouse".
Mr. and Mrs. William C.
Parker, Charlie and Kim, Lon-
don, were with his parents last
Thursday and Friday, also
spending Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. W. Parker, were Mrs.
Dorothy Kay, and Mrs. Gert-
rude Saunders, bath of Sarnia.
Mr. and Mrs. W. Bosnell,
who have been staying with
her sister, Mrs. Percy Weston,
for a few weeks, returned to
Saskatoon this week. Mr. and
Mrs. H. Bosnell, Goderich were
guests of Mr. and Mrs. P.
Weston on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. David Duncan,
Mary-Beth and David spent the
week at the Woodhome Motel.
