Fourteen area 4-H Home-
making Clubs gathered at
Seaforth District High School
Saturday for Achievement Day
skits, presentations and awards.
The event marked the com-
pletion of the fall project, Dairy
Fare.
Provincial honor winners for
completion of twelve 441 projects
were: Corinne Van Miltenburg,
R.R. 4, Seaforth and Brenda
Pryce, R.R.1, Seaforth.
County honor certificates for
completing six projects went to:
Mary Lou De Groot, Joan Noble,
Janice Schenck and Elizabeth
Pryce, all ofSeaforth, and Karen
Hemingway, of R.R. 3, Brussels.
During the morning the girls'
work books were displayed and a
movie was shown. -
The afternoon session be-
gan with a skit by Brussels Club,
''What Milk did for Miranda",
with all members taking part.
This same skit was given by
the following clubs with all mem-
berg. participating: Seaforth 2,
McKillop 1, Egrnondville 1 and
Seaforth 3.
Egmondville 2 had an inter-
esting exhibit, ',Milk's the
Greatest", with Mary Van Dyk
as commentator.
Tw3 , clubs had au exhibit,
"Three Ways with Cheese" with
Joan Noble as commentator for
Seaforth 6 and Marilyn Guichel-
aar and Heather Wallace as com-
mentators for Seaforth 5.
Janet Klaver was the com-
mentator for Seaforth 4 and Linda
Thompson for Brucefield 1 on
their ibits of Dairy Desserts.
Three clubs put on the skit,
"The Snack Bar", with all mem-
bers taking part - - - Moncrieff.
A demonstration of "Three
Ways to Use SicimMilk Powder"
was given by Diane Anderson,
Kathy Tomkins and Faye Cante-
Ion for Brucefield 2 Club.
Miss Catherine M. Hunt,
Home Economist for Huron
County, was in charge of the
program for the day. She was
assisted by Home Economists,
Mrs. James Axtmann, Walton,
who commented on the exhibits
and Mrs. Shirley McAllister,
Zurich, who commented on skits
and demonstratioris.
There are 140 members in the
14 clubs taking part, all spon-
sored by the Women's Institutes .
in the area.
