The Blues got an early 1-0
lead on the Stars when Larry
Broome scored' at the twelve
minute mark of the first period
and from there on it was all
Stars, as they wrapped home
three straight goals to take a
3-1 lead by the half-way mark
of the final period.
Bob Watson, G rant Carnochan
Bill Teall, Dave Broome, and Don
Hulley scored for the Stars. Joe
Dick scored the other goal for the
Blues.
Garry Osborne in goal for
the Stars again came up with sev-
eral key saves to haunt the Blues.
He stopped Dave Watson and
Broome both on clear-cut break-
aways.

unanswered goals in the second
period, Sunday as they defeated
the Port Elgin Sunocos 6-4 in a
W.O,A.A. Intermediate,' game
at the local arena. I
Bob Beuttenbillei scored two
goals and assisted op another and
Jack McIlwain scored one and
set up three, more to lead the
Beavers. Bill McLaughlin scor-
ed two goals and picked up two
assists in the Beaver _cause.
Wayne Rau scored the other Sea-
forth goal.
At the end of the second
period it was 6 - 2 for Seaforth
and Port Elgin scored twice in
the third to make the final out-
come 6-4.
A total of seven penalties
were called in what was a very
,clean fast game.

There was no scoring in the

had good chances but couldn't
find the mark. Joey Anstett
finally scored at 9:04 of the
3rd period unassisted.

Play Series
Seaforth midgets played two
games in as many days this week
winning against Mitchell and los-
ing to Goderich.
On Dec, 5 in a game played
at Goderich, Seaforth lost 5-1.
Don O'Brien scored Seaforth's
lone goal in this encounter.
On Dec. 6th at Mitchell, Sea-
forth defeated Mitchell by a score
of 6-3. B. Lane opened the scor-
ing for Seaforth in the first per-
iod.
Mitchell tied the score early
in The second, only to have sea-
forth come back with four goals
in a row to take a five to one
lead. Scoring for Seaforth were
T. Murray, B, Lane, his second,
S. Southgate and G. O'Reilly.
In the third, Mitchell came
back with two goals in a row
before B. Lane scored his third
of the game to give Seaforth a
6-3 win.
