ton, Tuesday October 19th at the
age of 85. He had been a resi-
dent for five years. Surviving

Sim:ason, Exeter; one sister,
Mrs. John (Ethel) McBride, Zur-
ich also six grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren.

held at the Bonthron Funeral
home, Hensall on Thursday Oct-
ober 21st at 10:30 A.M. with
Rev. A. Blackwell officiating.
Interment in St. Peter's Luth-
eran cemetery, Zurich.

The Stanley Unit met in the
IOOF Hall on Tuesday with 16
members and 25 visitors pres-
ent. Mrs. W. McBeath was host-
ess. Mrs. W. Scott and Mrs. J.
McGregor had the Devotional
period. Mrs. McGregor read the
call to Worship. Mrs. Scott read
several passages from the
Psalms and led In prayer. Mrs.
McGregor read a Meditation on
"Thankfulness and Courtesy".
The study was given by Mrs.
Scott.
Mrs. H. Taylor took the
chair welcoming all to the Fall
meeting and Auction Sale. Roll
call answered by naming the
visitor , you had invited to the
meeting. M-s. Cornish reported
on cards sent. The November
meeting will be at Mrs. A. Mc-
Beath's with Mrs. Robinson and
Mrs. Talbot. as co-hostesses.

Escorted down the aisle by
her father, the bride wore a
floor-length gown of white poly-
ester creplin, featuring a bodice
of white r•-embroidered
with stand7 up collar and lo g
sleeves. A detachable chapel
train trimmed with lace flowed
from the empire waist back. Her
four-tiered, elbow lace veil was
held by a headpiece of lace and
pearls. She carried a cascade of
stephanotis with removable
orchid centre.
Maid of honor was Miss
Sharon Martine of Dashwood.She
wore a gown of apple-green vel-
vet featuring a bodice of white
re-embroidered lace with stand-
up collar and long sleeves. Mat-
ching green velevet buttons ac-
cented the- front of the bodice.

She carried a green velvet muff,
adorned, with pink and white min-
iature carnations with white
streamers. Mrs. Shirley Wil-
liams, London and Mrs. Kathy
MacQueen, London, cousin of the
bride, were bridesmaids. They
wore gowns similar to the maid
of honor, only 'in orchid and car-
ried matching orchid muffs with
mauve, ' pink and white minia-
ture carnations and white
streamers.
Bob Piankentiorn', Fort Mc-
Murray, Alberta was best man.
Ted Williams., London and Bill
Chipchase, Hensall, 'brother of
the bride, ushered the guests.
The wedding dinner was

of the church.
For travelling to Eastern and
Northern Ontario, the bride
changed into a yellow knit pant
suit with brown accessories and
orchid corsage.
The couple will reside in
London.

The .Salvation Army Band of Goderich and Wingham
visited Huronview on Sunday after 'eon and played a con-
cert in the auditorium.
The Huronview Women's Auxiliary met in the craft
room on Monday to finalize plans for the annual bazaar
to be held in the auditorium on Wednesday, November
10th at 2 p.m.
Twenty-five residents celebrating birthdays in Octoler
were honoured at a party on Wednesday. Birthday gifts
and cake were supplied by the Londesboro Women's In-
stitute who were not able to attend as a result of an
accident in their community. Slides were shown that have
been taken of several events at Huronview during the year
along with musical numbers Iv the Huronview Orchestra
and a vocal duet by Jan Bylsma and, Alice Roorda accom-
panied on the piano by Jake Roorda. Volunteers from the
Beta Sigma Phi and Womens Auxiliary assisted with the
party.
Representatives of the C.N.I.B. met with members of the
staff and several residents with visual problems on Thurs-
day and arrangements were made to have Will Philpott,
an instructor with C.N.I.B., visit Huronview each month.
Rev. Bob Rayrnont of North Street United Church,
Goderich arranged the program for FaMily Night
which featured the McMillan family. The orchestra in-
cludes Mr. and Mrs. McMillan, Elizabeth, Eleanor and
Ernest who played several selections with vbc,a1 numbers
by. Mr. Raymont and Mr. and Mrs. McMillan accompanied
by Mr. Ed. Stiles on the piano.
