Samuel Oesch and the former Mary Bedour, Zurich, were mar- ried in London by Rev. Morris at the United Church Manse Sept- ember 16, 1921. They farmed in Stanley Township until retiring in Hensall •in 1958. Their only son, Russell resides on the home- stead farm. They also have three daughters, Kathleen, Mrs. -Bob Bell, Clinton; Anne, Mrs. Earl Flaxbard, Znrich; Mae, Mrs. Ray McNall, Fergus; 24 grandchild- ren and four great grandchildren. The couple were honored at dinner given by the family at Dashwood Community Centre, follpwed with a social evening with music by the Country Ram- blers. Friends and relatives at- tended from Detroit and Mount Clements, U.S. A., Sarnia and surrounding areas. They re- ceived many gifts and congrat- ulations from Prime Minister Trudeau, Hon. Charles Mac- Naughton, Premier Davis, Hon. Robert Stanfield—and R; Kinley, M.P. for Huron. Connolly and Airs. R. Bell will be dele- gates to the Rally in Ethel on October 4. ,Mrs. J. Drummond commented on the motto "If you look bade too much you soon will be headed that way" and Mrs. D. Triebner gave the His- tory of the Brucefield Church. Mrs. H. Caldwell discussed the origin of antiques, on display were' many beautiful pieces of Carnival Lustreware, Satin Glass, Vaseline Glass and others. Mrs. Ross Broadfoot, contributed a piano selection. Mrs. G. MacLean gave cour- tesy remarks. Mrs. C. Pullman conducted an unusual contest using [limbers. Mrs. C. Pullman and het committee served lunch. Mrs. R. Bell , the president, conducted the business and Mrs. C. Eyre the programme. AMA/ Meets The regular meeting of the A.C.W. of St. Paul's Church was held at the home of Mrs. Mary Taylor on Thursday, September 16th. ' The President, Mrs. W.Scra- buik opened the meting with the members prayer followed• by de- votiens from the Living Message. Mrs. Mary Taylor read the Scrip- ture Lesson. October 30th was the date set for the bazaar and bake sale. Mrs. A. Reid and Mrs. F. Forrest to convene. Mrs. F. Forrest read a pa,per on Brand Names Parade. Roll call was answered by houshold hints. Next meeting's roll call will be a verse froul thd Bible having the name of a king. Mrs. A. Reid took the topic, AMBER REBEKAH LODGE. Amber Rebekah Lodge held their fall meeting Wednesday, September 15th with Noble Grand, Mrs. Jack Taylor, presiding, as- sisted by Mrs. Elizabeth Riley, Vice Grand. A card was sent to Mrs. Estelle Jackson of Bruce- field who fractured her arm. A sympathy card was sent to the Kyle family, 'and a plant sent to Cecil Pepper , a patient at Victoria Hospital. A letter was read from the district secretary informing the Lodge date of lei stallation October 5th. Cards are to be sent to all members to attend and an invitation is to be sent to Edelweis Lodge, Sea- forth to attend installation of Amber Rebekah Lodge officers. Happy Birthday was sung to Mrs. E.
