EAGER FOR SCHOOL
This handsome youngster is Pat, just turned five. French-
Canadian arfd Negro in descent, he is a tall, sturdy boy with
big brown eyes, dark curly hair, and skin the color of creamy
coffee.
Pat is a bright child with a curious mind. His favorite
question is "Why?" He seems to be above average in intel-
ligence and is very enthusiastic about starting kindergarten.
Though he doesn't read yet, he can recognize a felxi words.
Pat is shy at first with strangers, but soon becomes friendly"
and talkative, revealing a lovable, appealing personality. He is
usually co-operative and eager to please. He loves to be helpful
and is fond of music.
Despite his gentle nature, Pat is adventurous and likes to
join in sports activities. He enjoys playing ball and is learning
to swim in his foster home's new pool.
