their 50th wedding anniversary

with a family dinner at Hook's
Restaurant in London.
Mr. and Mrs. Kercher were
married on June 29, 1921 In the
Presbyterian Manse at Cromarty
by the late Rev. David Ritchie.
The bride, the former Myrtle
Wright, was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Wright,
while the groom was the son of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Aron Ker-
cher of the Bronson Line. They

14 Tuckersmith township and are
still residing at the same loca-
tion.
They both enjoy good health.
Though now retired, Mr. Kercher
leads a full active life, 'helping
out with seasonal work about
the farm.

Dr. Robert F. Love, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ross Love, Clinton, has
been appointed a full professor of
operations research at the
University of Wisconsin, Madison
Wisconsin. He had been an asso-

Concern as to the condition
of the Hensall dump was ex-
pressed by Hensall Council at
a meeting Monday evening.
A report that the mill dump
was on fire prompted , a wide
discussion on dump maintenance.
It was indicated that while Boise-
Cascade paid $40 to assist with
work at the dump there was no
formal arrangement. The com-
pany wished an agreement with
council. Councillor Knight. sug-
gested that the company be allot-
ted a particular area in the dump
for which it would be responsible
in the same manner as the mills
are.
