THE TRAIL RIDERS
On Sunday the members of the
Huron Trail Rider's Saddle Club
met at Doug Riley's for their
first trail ride of the season.
The weather proved just right
to go riding. Several passing
cars stopped and admired the
variety of riding horses, - pinto,
palomino, chestnut, paint, sorrel
and an occasional grey. Everyone
enjoyed the ride through Dodd's
Hills and th e practice session
afterwards in the ring. Anyone
interested in joining- the club ,
is ' asked to get in touch with
Doug Riley.

Cavan's U.C.W: monthly
meeting was held in the church
on Wednesday evening when Mrs.
Axtman opened the meeting with
an article from the book, "A
Woman's Daily Prayer" called
"Spring-,Wind". E,We Plough°the
Fields and Scatter" was sung,
and Mrs. Axtman read a paper
',God in Nature". Mrs. Charles
Boyd took her topic from. the
New Study Book, "All This and
Christ, Too", The, chapter was
about a new humanity or what
is man. Roll call was 'answered
by naming a Queen in the Bible.
Note was made of a card of
thanksfrom Mrs. Tom Pryce.
Artibles for the bale are to be
brought to the next meeting. A
financial report was given by'
Mrs. Don Dodds. and "The Glory
of the Spring How Sweet" was
sung.' Mrs. Axtman pronounced
the benedictioh.

at the home of Mrs. Walden with
an attendance of twenty-seven.
Ruth • Cluff and Grace Broadfoot
were in charge of the program.
Mrs. Wheatly read the scrip-
ture, Mrs. Allen the prayer and
