MeKlieLOP 4-H CLUB
The fourth, fifth ,and sixth
meetings of the McKillop 4-H
Club were held. at the home of
Mrs. William Little. The meet-
ings were opened with the Insti-
tute Oath, followed by the 4-H
Pledge. At the fourth meeting,
the girls were taught about join-
ing seams and darts. They were
taught more about staystitching.
Mrs. Little showed the girls how
to make and put in 'a reinforced
curved seam. At the fifth meet-
ing, the subject concerning fitting
and zippers were discussed.
Sylvia Smith demonstrated how
to put in a lap zipper. At the
sixth meeting, the girls discussed
sewing with knitted fabrics. Mrs.
Little showed the girls how to
make a tailor's hem -and a slip-
stitch hem.
At the seventh meeting, held
at the home of Mrs. William
Little's, it was debided to hold
the next meeting on May 11 at
the same home. Achievement Day
was discussed. Mrs. Little
viewed our work and ,saw how
we were coming, along with our
outfits.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene St. Louis
have received ,word that their
son, Tim, has graduated with
honours Without • writing exams
, from St. Claire College, Windsor
in three -years of Applied Arts.
