He said singing his final anthem with the choir, Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’, was also an emotional moment. “[That song] had become the choir’s signature piece,” he said. “We sang it at community functions like Women’s Day Out, we sang it at my daughter’s wedding and indeed at worship services in church.” He went on to say that the church has become a wonderful world for him and his family, right down to his grandson Harrison who goes to Sunday school, so the song fit his last day. “It was an emotional day, but it was an emotion of love, family and friendship,” he said. “I will say that the stock price of Kleenex should go up after that service.
