Math Club On Saturday, December 13, members of the Senior Math Club under the guidance of Mr. S, Ishikawa, head of the Muth Depart:iota, weut to the Uni- versity of Western Ontario to try their hand at cone ter pro- gramming and to tour the campus. They were lectured on ;,Ft Basic' a computer language, by a mathe- matics professor and were then permitted to experiment on the pdp-10 computer, using, modern teletype machines. Since the Christmas vacation for students at Western had begun on Friday the 12th, the campus was fairly quiet and the Math Club was able to enjoy a tour guided by Mr. Ishikawa, a former student at the University. Millson and on returning h016,9 went to the barn ,to d6' chores; When he failed to return at the usual time, Mrs. Sanders went to the barn to find that he had died. Born in McKillop Township the son of the late NelsonSanders and Wilhemina Rands, he attended school there and moved to Hullett where he farmed. He is survived by his wife the former Margaret Elva Reid to whom he was married April 23, 1955. He was a member of Northside United Church. Funeral services were con- ducted by his Minister Rev. J. C. Britton from the G. A. Whitney Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Temporary entomb- ment followed in Pioneer Mausoleum. Pallbearers were Frank Riley, Wilfred Scott, John Thompson, Kenneth Preszcator, John Boven and Fred Buchanan. Intra-Mural Volleyball The 12-C boys -have captured the senior boys volleyball divi- sion, and so are outs, school champs. They challenge the staff to a game which has not yet 'been played and perhaps never -will be, but we can always hope, can't we? Boys' Basketball The boys have shown us their form, for they played their first game (exhibition) of the season here last Wednesday against Mit- chell. The Seniors walloped their opponents, with a final score of 52-40, but the Juniors were de= feated by the opposition, 29-55, The teams worked well together and the exciting play gave us a taste of what the future sea- son will bring. The teams are coached by Mr. Ken Reidy and Mr. Ed Pelss.
