Franets. Jordan of 32 East
William Street, Seaforth, died
suddenly Monday. He was in his
82nd year.
Mr. Jordan suffered an at-
tack as he was walking on Main
Street about Noon that day. Re-
moved to his home and then to
Seaforth Community, Hospital, ,he ,.
passed away shortly after:'
Born in Hibbert ToWnship, he
was educated and farmed there
until his retirement to Seaforth
in 1953. 'He was ,predeceased
five years ago by. his wife the
former Katherine Doyle to whom
he was married in St. Columban
' in 1917. He is survived by five
daughters, Mary Francis, De-
troit,, Ann, IVIrs. James Kraus- r
kopf, Dublin; Claife, Mrs. John
Unsworth, Detroit; Veronica,
Mrs. Ken Vincent, Seaforth and
Miss Barbara Jordari,, Seaforth
and 'by three sons, Peter, R.R.
2, Dublin; Thomas, Red Rock,
Ontario and Francis of Ottawa.
Mr. Jordan is also survived,
by a 'brother Rev. John C. Jor-
dan, St. Clair Shores, Mich.,
and by two sisters M. Alma, St.
Marys and Sister St, Teresa
of London.
He was a member of St.
James Roman Catholic Church.
The remains will rest at his
late residence until Thursday
" morning when requiem high
mass will be sung at St-Taines
Roman Catholic Church by Fa-
' ther H.J.Laragh. Interment will
follow in St. James' Cemetery.

Obituaries
MRS. GRAHAM VANCE
Mrs. Graham Vance died sud-
denly in Toronto early Wednesday
morning following a heart attack.
She was 51.
The •former Leona Box, the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
E L. Box, she was born and
attended school in Seaforth.
Mrs. Vance, who was pre-
deceased by herhusband 13 years
ago, is survived by four sons,
John, Ronald 20, Donald 17 and
Leon 16, all of Toronto. She is
also survived by two brothers,
Richard S. Box and Edward Box
of Se‘aforth,
Funeral arrangements are in-
complete.

BASIL F. PURCELL
Basil Francis Purcell passed
away in Goderich November 20th,
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
John Purcell, he was for many
years a former 'resident of Sea-
forth wheie he had beeiran em-
ployee of the Huron Expositor.
He is survived by two sisters,
Mrs. Hayhurst, Detroit, and Mrs.
Sol of Chatham, and one brother,
Joe, of Detroit,
the remains rested at the
Stiles Funeral Home, Goderich.
The funeral took place from St.
Peter's Roman Catholic Church, '
Goderich, with burial in the Pa-
rish Cemetery, Goderich.
Mrs. Lawrence Cassidy
(Donna) who has been in the
ingersol hospital for a cciuplf,
of weeks following an operatiqn,
returned to her home there last
week.

arrangement and place cards.
Christmas carols were sung with
Mrs. Ray Huether at the piano
and Mrs. Herb Traviss leading
the singing.
A gift exchange was conduc-
ted with Mrs. Gordon Murray
and Mrs. Jim Clark in charge.

evening December 17, will be
