EIGHTH REUNION
The eighth annual Siemon
Reunion was held at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Rock.
Those attending from a distance
• were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brooks
and Alvin and Miss Brenda Min-
shall, Mt, Albert; Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Mastin and Bradley, Osh-
awa. Other relatives attended •
from Seaforth, Palmerston and
surrounding district.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cook,
Cindy, Billy and George, Scar-
borough, Mrs. Mabel Higgerson
and Harry Proctor, R. R. 3, Mit-
chell, were guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Ken Elligsen on- Labour Day.
The annual McNichol Reunion
was held at the Brodhagen Com-
munity Centre with 121 present.
Dinner and supper were followed
by races and games tor all ages.
Those present were from Preston
Kitchener, Stratford, Oshawa,
Mt. Pleasant, London, Exeter,
Mitchell and surrounding area.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Ahrens
spent several days with Clayton
Ahrens in Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Beuer-
man, Dennis and Jeffrey, London,
with their parents on Labour Day.
Joanne Elligsen, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Elligsen, who
is returning to Waterloo Lutheran
University, got home from work-
ing two months at Camp Tawingo.
A camp for boys and girls 8 to
16 located on Vernon near Hunts-
ville. There Joanne was director
of music. Her duties,.consisted
of accompanying sing songs
daily, preparing Chapel Ser,vices
and directing a stage production
of Oliver. The performance in-
volved acting, singing, chore-
ography, writing, scenery, cos-
tumes to make-up.
On Sunday afternoon Mrs.
Lavina Beuerman had a get-to-
gether for old time friends in
honour of Mrs. Frank Elligsen
from North Hollywood, Calif-
ornia, who is visiting relatives
and friends. Those who attend-
ed, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scher
barth Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Flotch, Mr. and Mrs. Christ,
Leonhardt, Mr. and Mrs. Geo,
Siemon, Mr. Louis Bennewies,
Mr, Rudolph Fischer, Rev. Harry
Lossing, Mrs, Lena Bennewies,
Mrs, Laura Mogk, Mrs. Lena
Elligsen, Mrs. Annie Elligsen,
Mrs. Minnie Mogk, Mrs. Ella
Rose, Mrs, Martha Hinz, Mrs.
Minnie Vock and Mrs. Emma
Rock.
Margaret Elligsen, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Elligsen
returned home Sunday night
from a week interprovincial
camp exchange sponsored by
the Lutheran Church. She spent
some time at the home of her
hostess, Colleen Moore in Dart-
mouth, Nova Scotia and camped
at Mush-A-Mush in Nova Scotia.
Margaret entertained Colleen
here at her home and the two
camped at Camp Lutherlyn on
Golden Lake, Ontario. There
were about 23 young people in-
volved in the exchange.
The Brodhagen 4-H Home-.
making Club met at the home
of Mrs. Ken Smith on Thursday
and discussed books on "Being
Well Dressed and Well Groomed"

It was decided to call the
club the Brodhagen Beauty Build-
ers.
Mrs. Frieda -Elligsen, Calif-
ornia is staying with her niece,
Mrs. Lavina Beuerman and also
visiting other relatives in the
community.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mar-
tin, Neepawa, Manitoba, spent
a few days recently with Mr.
and Mrs. Mervyn Leonhardt
Mr. and Mrs. Lavern WO1fe
visited on Saturday with Mr. -
and Mrs. Edwin Rose in Mitchell
Mr. and Mrs' Ken Filigsen,,
Terry and Warren spent the
week end with Mr. and Mrs.
Gary Sholdice and family in
Kitchener. They also called
on Mr. and Mrs. 'Oscar Elligsen.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scherbarth
Detroit and Mr. and Mrs. Clar-
ence Rennewies, Mitchell, Visit-
ed on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Edward 'Ahrens.
Mrs. John Siemon and Ken-
neth, Mitchell, visited on Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Lavern
Wolfe.

A'clouble ring ceremony was
performed at St. Patrick's
Roman Catholic Church, Dublin
when Marion Patricia McLaugh-
lin, daughter of 41r. and Mrs.
Joe McLaughlin and Gerald -An-
thony Brennan, son of Mr and
Mrs. Clare Brennan of Marys-
ville, were united in marriage.
The Nuptial Mass was sung
,by Rev. Father Durand and the
servers were Masters Pat and
John Delaney, cousins of the
bride.
The organist, Mrs. John
Nagle, accompanied the soloist,
Mr. Larry- Murray, who sang
throughout the Niiptial Mass.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, chose a floor-
length gown of peau de soie,
styled with a scooped neckline,
lily point sleeves. The gown
was fitted at the waist by a
bri'w to give an empire waisted
effect. The train, edged with,
French lace, fell, from h e r
shoulders to the floor. Her silk
illusion veil was held with a
pearl and crystal tiara. She
carried a bouquet of white but-.
terfly roses and nailing ivy.

our, Angela Ducharme, Toronto,
Joan Murray, Dublin and Bar-
bara Brennan, Kingston, as
bridesmaids, were dressed alike
in long mauve floor-length'
gowns of silk lagoda. Gowns
were fashioned with empire •
Waistlines, high stand collars
and three quarter length sleeves
with French appliqued lace
trimmings, Floral headpieces
completed their outfits. They
carried nosegays of piny roses,
mauve and purple mums.
Mr. Donald Brennan, Marys-
ville and Mr. Tim Brennan,
London, brothers of the groom,
acted as groomsmen. The ush-
ers were Mr. Jerome Murray,
Dublin and Mr. Adrian Brennan,
Oshawa.
At'the dinner and reception
held at the Brodhageri Hall, the
guests were received by the
bride's mother wearing a cham-
pagne coat ensemble ",w ith
matching accessories and a
corsage of yellow roses and
daisies. She was assisted by the
groom's mother wearing a blue
coat ensemble with beige acces-
sories and a corsage of pink
roses and daisies,

On their return the couple
will reside in London.

Kingston, Marysville, Peterbor-

Prior to their wedding, the
bride was entertained at Bridal
Showers given at the home of,
her parents sponsored by -Mrs.
Keith McCarthy, Mrs, Jerry'
Lassaline, Mrs. -Theo. Melady
and Angela Ducharme; also at
her Toronto apartment by her ,
girl friends and by the Teaching
Staff of St. John's School, Toronto

ents, Mr. and Mrs. D'Arcy Colpitts of Newton Street, Barrie,
Ontario. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Wright of Seatordi, Ontario. , St. Giles Anglican
Church, Barrie, will be the setting for the wedding on 20th
