The bride is the daughter of Reverend and Mrf; Johrr1/2'.-- Stinson of Meaford and Mr...and Mrs, T. S. Jarman of ,Orillia are the parents of the groom. For a number of years Mr, Stin- son was the minister of North- side United 'Church, Seaforth, The marriage ceremony was conducted by Rev, J. W. A. Stinson who was assisted by Rev. R. F; LeDrew and Rev, ' T. V, Hart. Mrs.° Lorne Denn- ison played the wedding music accompanying the soloist, Ruth Anne McNaught of Agincourt, who sang I'll. Walk Beside You and The Nuptual Benediction. Dr. Dora Ann Stinson was the maid of honour, The bridal attendants were Miss' Linda Les- lie, Mrs. Kenneth Thomson and Mrs. Henry Klassen, Mr. Kenneth M. Thompson was the best man and Mr, Peter C. Jarman, Mr. David J. Stin- -.ion and Mr. Maurice A. Stin- son the ushers. Mary Jackson, Ernest White use, Kippen ex- changed marriage vows in Hen- ' sail United Church. Rev.. H. F.. Currie officiated at their double ring ceremony on June '7th at 3:00 o'clock. Farquhar, in a double-ring ceremony, united in marriage, Bonnie Dianne Kennedy and Claude Gerald Barr., The bride is 'the daughter of Mr. and 'Mrs. Harvey Kennedy, Huron Park, Ontario and the groom is the son of"Mrs. Retta Barr of Pakenham, Ontario and the late Herbert Barr. Given in marriage by her father, the bride had chosen a floor-length gown of white lago'cla and chantilly lace. The sleeveless lace bodice was high- ' lighted by a' boat-shaped neck- line and empire waist. The gently controlled A-line skirt was accented at' the back with extra fullneis. Over this Was worn a chantilly lace coat, with a rolled' lagoda collar and elbow length sleeves. Her cape-length three tiered silk chiffon veil was held bra head- dress of tiny roses and leaves. She carried a bouquet of red roses and fern. Miss' Carol Stewart of London, maid of honour and bridesm a i d, Miss Carol Bloor, . cousin of the bride, London, wore idehtical „floor length gowns of fiesta pink chiffon. The sleeveless gowns were accented by, multi- coloured guipure lace trimming the scooped necklines and em- pire waists while a cardinal ;70at effect was produced by hiffon draping from the should- ers to the floor. They wore matching headdresses. Miss Lori Kennedy as junior bridesmaid and Misses Kim and Christine Kennedy' as flower- girls, all sisters of the bride, wore identical floor length gowns of fiesta -pink chiffon with puffed sleeves and empire waists accented by multi-col- oured guipure lace trimming. They wore matching headdres- ses. The maid of honour and bridesmaids carried bouquets of white 'mums tipped pink to match their gowns and the flowergirls carried white bask- ets with similar flowers'. Harry Barr of Pakenham, hfother of the groom, was best man and Bryan Smith, Lucan, and Alan Kennedy, brother of the bride, Huron Park, • were ushers, Music was provided by Barry Cabena, For the reception held at the Legion Hall, Lucan, the bride's mother had chosen a powder- blue coat and dress ensemble with matching hat, white ac- cessories and corsage of white carnations -tipped with blue and pink roses. She was assisted by the groom's mother wetting a turquoise coat and dress en- semble, white floral hat and white accessories ,with a cor- sage of white gardenia and stephanotis, For a trip to Washington, D. C„ the bride wore an orange coat and dress ensemble with matching hat, beige accessor- ies and corsage of orange roses, Guests attended from Paken- ham, Owen Sound, Chesley, Blyth, Londesboro, Seaforth, Strafford, London, bucan, 'Huron Park, Toronto and Oak- ville. White chrysanthemums de- corated the altar of St, Cohan , ban's Roman Catholic Church for the wedding of William Fran- cis Nrurphy and Luella Agnes , Moylan on Saturday, .May 24th. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Moylan, R. R. 5, Seaford' and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Murphy, R. R. #4, Seaforth. Rey. Francis Moylan, S. F. M. r uncle of the bride, per- formed the marriage ceremony and sang the nuptial mass. The servers of the Mass' were Brian and, Barry Lane, cousins of the bride. Given in marriage by her father, ihe.bride wore a floor- length gown with train, detat- chable from the shoulders,em- pire waist-line, scodped neck- line and lily point sleeves. Her shoulder-length veil of double tulle illusion wasp held in place by a tiara with crystal teardrops and pearl se- quins. She carried a mauve- orchid with white stephanotis and green ivy. The Matron ,of honor was Denise Weiler, cousin of the bride, Kitchener and the bride- smaids were Sharyn Burke, cou- sin of the grOdrn, Staffs; and ' Rita Moylan Sister-in-laW of the bride) St. Marys. The at- -tendants were in mauve peau- de-soie floor length gowns made similarily to that of the bride. The organiSt was Mrs. Vin- cent Lane, aunt d the bride, and the soloist was-Mr. Jack Lane, cousin of the bride. The groom was attended by his twin brother, Joseph Murphy, Seaforth, and the ush- ers were, Gordon Movlan, brO- tiler of the bride and Paul Hag- an, Seaforth, cousin of the groom. Following,the wedding a reception was held at Brodhagen Hall at which the mother of the bride received the guests wear- ing a sea foam lace dress with matching coat, silver access- ories with a mauve orchid cor- sage. The groom's mother, ass- isted wearing a multi-colored dress of silk net over taffeta with matching coat, black access- ories and white gardenia cor- sage. " For travelling the bride donned a rose, swiss lace dress and coat, black accessories and corsage of white baby sweet- heart roses. After the Southern States, the couple will reside on the groom's farm " at R., R. 4, Seaforth, Guests at the wedding were from Port Huron, Detroit, Toro-1 nto, Weston, Kitchener, London, Waterloo, Brooklyn, N. Y. ,' Stratford, Dublin and Seaforth. Prior to her marriage the ' bride was honored at several showers - at the bride's home, sponsored by, Betty• and Anne Shea; in Kitchener, sponsored by the bride's aunt, Mrs, Joseph Moylan; at the bride's home . sponsored by Mrs. Theo Melady and Mrs. Alfred Malone;. in Stratford, sponsored by Mrs. David Benner, The bride also received a cut crystal salad bowl'from the Staff of the Gen- dal Hospital, Stratford where she had been employed. sleeves were appliqued with Italian lace and the neckline was scalloped. She wore a full- length tulle veil with lace ap- plique and double tiers to the ' shoulder. The veil was held by a rhinestone tiara. She carried red roses. Mrs. Williani B Campbell of Seaforth was matron of hon- or and bridesmaids were Miss Joanne Elliott of Bluevale and Miss Judy Hamilton of Trow- bridge. Their f u 11-length 'gowns of mauve crimplene featured empire waists and scalloped necklines with silVer trim. They wore matching head- dresses and Carried white shasta daisies. "Please, judge," the bride broke in, "you're going to talk' him right out of it, " with matching hat and the gro'om's mother chose a two- piece turquoise lace dress with white accessories. Travelling to the United States for their -litineymoon, the bride wore a turquoise two- piece dress with matching ac- cessories. Mr. and Mrs. Townsend Will live on the groom's farm at Seaforth. The wedding ' dinner was held at Danny's Restaurant, Wingham, where the bride's table Wts centred with the wed- ding cake. Mauve tulips de- corated the dining room. MATTHEWS Northside United Church, Sea- forth was the setting of a lovely 'Spring wedding when Margaret Linda MacDonald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs._ Gordon MacDon- ald, Seaforth, became the bride of John David Matthew's, son of Dr. and Mrs'. J. J. Matthews, Woodstock, on May 17, 1969, Rev, J. C. Britton Officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Mrs. J. Stewart, Seaforth', play- ed traditional wedding music and accompanied the soloist, , Miss Joan Sinclair, London, who sang "The Wedding Prayer? and I'll 'Walk Beiide'You." The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor- length empire style gown of im- ported white lagoda, The fitted bodice was accented by a bateau -neckline, and heavy guipure Ice which was appliqued down the front of the gown and trimmed the short sleeves. Woodstock. •-MacDONALD Miss Shelley Matthews of Wood- stock was junior bridesmaid. The bridesmaids were gowned alike in deep pink chiffon floor-length dresses with guipure lace adorn- ing the neck, the short sleeves ,and the sides of page-like panels and carried,white baskets of pink carnations. Bow styled pink head- pieces completed their ensemble, Mr. Richard Goad, Woodstock was grootnsman and guests were ushered by Curtiss MacDonald, Kitchener, D. David 'Matthews, Toronto and 'Jamie Matthews, Woodstock. For a reception, 'held at the Royal Canadian Legion hall, the bride's mother received the ghests in a coat and dress ensemble of apple green silk with matching accessories and corsage of , deep pink sweetheart roses. For a wedding trip to Virginia, the bride chose a yellow coat and dress ensemble with bronze acces- sories and a corsage of tinted car- nations. Guests were present from Sea- forth, Woodstock, Toronto, Clin- ton, Hensall, Windsor, Kitchen- er and London, . Upon their return, the couple will reside in Woodstock. Rev. J. C. Britton of Seaforth officiated,' assisted by Mr. Michael Ross of Bluevale. Miss Margaret Craig was organist and William B. Campbell of -Seaforth was the soloist. ..Spring flowers and yellow streamers decorated the home. Mr. Mathers gave his daugh- ter in marriage.
