facilities will not have to pay
• the registration fee. .
In the matter of rentals,
•-the hoard has established a
policy whereby the basic rental
will be based on 1968 costs and
to this will be added 25 per cent
for capital exPenditures.• An
allocation of $15, 000 was pro-
vided in the budget for rent.
Rents will be reviewed each
year to prevent a municipality's
loss of money by renting to the
county board. However., • the
county board has made it clear
it will not permit a municipality
to make a large profit on the
rentals.

Protection
Agreement

A new fire protection
agreement has been reached be;
tween the town of Clinton and
the County of Huron for Huron-
view, .
The annual retaining fee is
. $235. 80 with fire calls charged
at the rate of $80 for the first
hour and $50 for each additional
hour or part thereof.
A minor fire broke out at
• Huronview Thursday although
employees had the blaze pretty
well under control by, the time
ftremen arrived.
Damage aniounted to about
$500 to $000. "It could have
been more serious, "Bill Hanley,
deputy-clerk for the county,
told council.
Thirty-one applications
have been received in reply to
the advertisement for an ad-
ministrator. A full report will ,
be made at the June session.
