this disease was shrouded in my-
stery but today the Ontario Soc-
iety for Crippled Childreras Eas-
ter Seal programme is providing
help for more than -3,500 cere-•
brat palsy children who can be
trained and do respond to -the
highly specialized and expen-
sive treatment that is" givett
over twenty treatment centres
in the province.
The treatment is directed by
experts towards training the une
damaged parts of the brain to
take over the functions of the
defective area, to as great a de-
gree as possible. In many cases
near Miracles have been work-
,ed. In other cases the results
are, slow.
. The 1969 Easter Seal camp-
aign must raise $1,500,000. in
Ontario to guarantee that no
crippled child in our province •
