Pages 1A to 10A ATTENTION SNOWMOBILE OWNERS The Seaforth Council seeks the cooperation of all owners of snowmobiles so that they may con- tinue to enjoy to the full the sport and at the same time protect the interests of other citizens,- Please cooperate by: 1. Operating machines as quietly as possible and at such times as not to inconvenience citizens. This means the curtailment of late at night operation. 2, Avoiding areas where sickness exists such as the hospital grounds and streets adjacent to nursing homes. 3. Following all highway traffic regulations and regulations contained in the Motorized Snow vehicle Act. 4. Respecting the rights of property owners and avoiding taking short cuts over private property. 5. Giving precedence to pedestrian traffic remembering that snowmobiles being so low sometimes can be, difficult to see. NOTICE RE: BY-LAW Town of Seaforth By-law No. 822, 1970 prohibits operation of snowmobiles on public streets in Town of Seaforth between the hours of Midnight 7 a.m. The cooperation of all operators is urged.It would be unfortunate if the actions of a few operators made necessary restrictive controls that would curtail the pleasure of other owners. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Preszcator, Dianne and Nancy visited onSun- day with Mr. Lawrence Hill in St. Joseph's Hospital, London. The Christmas Concert will be held at the church next Friday evening, December 18th at 8p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Wes. Agar of Point Edward spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. CarmanScar- row, Jim, John and Doug. Mrs. Scarrow returned with them for the week end. News of Winthrop Local Lads Attend CCA Show Correspondent Mrs. Robert Hulley Recently two local boys, Ray Storey and Donald Dolmage, along with 13 building construction technology students with their teacher, Mr. Craig of C.H.S.S, attended the CanadianConstruct- ion Show in Exhibition Park, Toronto. The show sponsored by the Canadian Construction As- sociation, featured a $15 million dollar display of the worlds most advanced construction and municipal equipment, machinery and materials - including some items being shown for the first time. Exhibits occupied the $150,000 sq. ft. Industry Building in which more than 200 companies were represented in disPlays covering heavy machin- ery and construction, building construction public works and municipal construction and main- tenance. The firms came from all parts of Canada, the United States, Britian, Japan, Norway, the Soviet Union, West Germany and Switzerland. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Walker, Cromarty, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hulley. S.S.No. 8 McKillop public school will hold their annual Christmas concert on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. G. Coville is the teacher. S.S.No. 6 McKillop public school will hold their annual Christmas concert on Friday evening. Miss Jessie Little is the teacher, Miss Clare McGowan (centre) received a beautiful clock from the foster parents of the county of Huron recently. It was presented by Mrs. Jack Scott (left) and Mrs. Garth Hamilton, both foster mothers. The gift was tied with a wide white ribbon upon which was typed the names of all the foster parents who shared in the thoughtful expression to Miss McGowan. The foster parents who are presently attempting to form a Foster Parents Association fondly remember Miss McGowan when she was director of the Huron County 'Children's Aid Society.
