SEAFORTH TEEN TWENTY QUESTION: to change the direction of tires
with studs because this practice
can loosen the studs. You brought
up a good qUestion, and the only
hnswer I can see is that you would
have to make an exception in the
case of a spare tire, unless yOu
want to carry two spares, one for
each side.

Dear Constable:
• You would 'almost think at
times that pedestrians, when out
Walking at night, are angels, and
that they feel the, motorist can
see their halos, because they
walk out from anywhere. They
may be able to see the car
(that is reasonable to assume)
because it has headlatnps, but
the motorist can not always see
the pedestrian. Is there anything
you can do to smarten up the
pedestrians, besides giving them
two lights?

PERILS OF LAUREL
& HARDY ANSWER:
I can tell the pedestrians
that dusk and darkness come ear-
lier at this tirne of the year, and
in some cases they do wear
dark clothing. If they wear dark
clothing it makes it very hard
for drivers to see. They should
alveays- wear or carry something
light in ..colour and should not
depend • on the drivers seeing
them. See for yourself and be
safe.

TNIf PICTURE HAS A IPACISACA: First of all, I should mention
that the impaired driving charge
is not new. What is new is the
compulsory breathalyzer test and
the point of .08 'established as
the legal blood alcohol content.
I would not suggest to anyone
that they drink and drive, but if
they do, it is recommended that
they allow one hour for every
ounce of liquor before driving.
For those, who are planning on
holding parties where alcohol
will be•served, be a friend first,
then a host. Have something such
as lots of food and other types
of liquid refreshments, and don't
encourage your guests to drink.
