The Huron County Health Unit and the Canada Depart-
ment of Agriculture are 'conducting a series of Free Rabies,
Clinics for all nets in an effort to cut down the incidence of
the disease in Huron County. Last Thursday a well attended
clinic was held at Walton. Above Blair Fraser holds his dog
Skipper as Dr. M. K. Clugston of Seaforth, who is with the
Health of Animals Branch of the Canada Department of Agri-
culture administers the live virus vaccine. Awaiting their turn
are (upper right) Thomas Shortreed with Collie and (right)
Mr's. Tom Nolan with Daisy and Gordon McGavi'n with Queenie.
A similar clinic will be held September 9, from '2 to 8 p.ui. in
the Seaforth Community Centre. It is hoped that all area pets

The first meeting of the
Walton 11 Club for the-fall proj-
ect "Focus on Fitness" was
held Wednesday afternoon at the
home of Mrs. Allan McCall.
Election of officers resulted

The next meeting will be held
at the leader's home on Tuesday,
September .8th when a name for
the club will be considered.

"The Mentally Fit Person" and
"Make Leisure a Pleasure".
Each girl decided on the craft
she Would make to be displayed
at achievement day which can be

from the word "Agriculture".
Prites were given for each con-
test.
The regular collection and
pennies for friendship were re-
ceived by the treasurer.
All joined hands and formed
a circle singing "The more we
get together, the. _happier we'll
be" with Mrs. R. ,Huether at the
piano.
Lunch was served by the host-
esses, Mrs. Laverne Godkin,
Mrs. Clarence Martin, Mrs.
James Axtmann and Mrs. Ed.
