Dr. Helen Salkeld of North
Gower visited recently with her

On 90th Birthday
• A birthday dinner was held at the ,

honour Mi.. lames • • Keane of
Lucknow on the oecasion of his.
ninetieth birthday Sunday. • Nov-
ember 10
Jitn wasborn at Paurkhill Novem-
ber 10th. 1884. son of the late John
Keane and Theresa Forgarty.
Later the family moved to Colborne
Township and: then to Asttfteld
Township where Jim farmed up
until fourteen years ago when he
retired to Lircknow. Jim is married
to the former Irene Moran and they
have one daughter Ruth (Mrs.
Robert Currie).. Wallaceburg and
one son Roy. of 'Bancroft.
Present for the dinner were
Jim's wife Irene, his sister Mrs-
Catherin (Kate) Chisholm and
nephew Harry Chisholm of Col-
borne Township. Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Currie and Keith of Wal-
kiceburg. Mr. and Mrs_ Roy
Keane. Arlene, and Brian of
Bancroft. His grandson Edward
Carrie of Wallaceburg visited him
bv telephone,. becanie of illness he
was unable to attend. Also. his
granddaughter Linda Currie of
liVallacebing was unable to attend

due to other commitments. He also
received a telegram from his niece,
Sister Conelous Foran (Mary For-
an) from South Africa with her best
regards on this happy occasion.
Mr. Keane was presented with a
rocker recliner chair.
