that the period during. which nomination papers may be filed
in the office of the clerk for the purpose of municipal elections
will commence on

Of which all Electors are hereby required to take notice and
govern themselves accordingly, and further take notice that the
manner in which said nominations shall be filed is set forth in
section 34 of the Municipal Elections Act.
If a greater number of candidates than required to fill the said
offices, are nominated and make the required declarations,
notice of the time for' the holding of the poll, including the ad-
vance poll and notice of the last day for making applications
for a certificate to vote by proxy will be given forthwith.

The 1st Lucknow Brownie Pack
held their Hallowe'en Party on
October 29th.
Several games were played and
the costumes were judged by Mrs.
Edith Webster. The winners were:
Fancy Dress, 1st Anne Hamilton;
2nd Debra Emberlin; Comic, 1st
Betty Stanley; 2nd Tracey McDon-
agh.
The Brownies madepaper bag
masks and a prize was given for the
best mask, with Shirley Loree
winning.
The Brownies then enjoyed a
lunch of sandwiches, cookies and
freshie. As the Brownies and their
friends left for home, each one
received a treat.

Dungannon Women's Institute
meeting was held Wednesday
evening, October 30. at the home of
Mrs. Harry Girvin with a splendid
attendance. The president, Mrs.
Graham McNee, welcomed espec-
ially Mrs. Otto Popp; from Clinton,
a former member here,. and her
daughter, Mrs. Brian Hallam, then
opened the meeting . with the
Opening Ode and the Mary Stewart
Collect.
The roll call "Safe Guard to
Health" suggested regular visits to
your doctor; obeying doctor's ord-
ers. drink cranberry juice at least
once a month; appreciate pure air;
and many others. 'Minutes and
treasurer's report were read and
accepted. The second quilt block
made by two more members was on
display and this one is to go the
Erland Lee Home, the first one
having been sent to the Science
Centre in Toronto. An invitation
was received ' from Kingsbridge
C.W.L. to attend their meeting on
Monday evening. November 4, and
members were reminded of .the
workshop on Nutrition at , Auburn
Wednesday. November 6, begin-
ning at 10.00 a.m.
Mrs. Hugh McWhinney, con-
, vener for Family Affairs introduced
her guest. Mrs. Brian Hallam,
Auburn, who gave a film entitled
"Help Is', picturing First Aid at
the.scene of several car accidents.
Mrs.. McWhinney gave other types
of accidents and proper first aid
methods for each.
Reports of the W.I. Rally. held at
Brussels Monday. October. 7; were
well given by Mrs. G. McNee and
Mrs. Elmer Black. The Area
Copvention is to be held in
Stratford November 27 and 28; 4-H
Achievement Day is to be at
Brookside School on November 23.
and W.1. members are invited to
attend the afternoon program and
support the 4-H gids by your
interest. A 510 donation was made
to C.N.I.B., and plans are in
progress for the Christmas party
for December 11.
A special feature of this meeting
in our 60th year was the presenta-
tion of a Life Membership certifi-
cate and pin to Mrs. Wilbur Brown.
who has been a member forty years
and has served in many of the
offices. Mrs. G. McNee, the
president, read the address. and
Mrs. Harry Girvin. the secretary.
made the presentation.
Following the collection the
meeting was closed by singing the
Queen and W.I. Grace, following
which the hostesses, Mrs. Cliff
Purdon, Mrs. Roy Robson. and
Mrs. Gordon Finnigan; served
lunch. Courtesies were expressed
to all who had contributed to the
meeting.
