his. Week'. In Ripley
BY AB WYLDS
Last
Thursday evening • was.
Hallowe'en -. the last night in
October. The weathu r was mild
and the. air was still. With the sky
clear and the stars shining it was an
almost perfect night for the groups
of girls and boys 'in costume
walking along the village sidewalks
from house to house for treats.
They were even taking short cuts
alung the railway .tracks and across
Gore Park. It was nice to have so
many parents from the surrounding
concessions bring "'their young
chEdren, ail dressed in costume,
into town. It was like a big holiday
carnival with the younger people
having funand the residents of
Ripley 'enjoying having them in
their homes.
