The meeting was opened with the 4-H , Pledge. The minutes of the last meeting were read by Elaine. Whitby.. The roll call "An idea for an original party game" was answered by sixgirls and one leader. The meeting was turned over to Mrs. Bill Bolt who led a discussion about party foods. Cupcakes which had previously been prepared by the leaders, were decorated by the. girls. The Club Party, which is to be held October 26, was discussed. The girls then ate the cupcakes along with a punch Mrs. Bolt had made. The meeting was closed with the 4-H Creed. The meetings were opened with the pledge and twelve members ans- wered the roll calls. Mrs. Rhody and Mrs. Hedley led discussions on party themes and decorations and foods suitable for different types of parties. After discussing the decoration of . cup- cakes each girl experimented with the new ideas learned. The next meeting is on Wednes- day. October 23 . at Fawthrop's house. Party Pais The seventh meeting of the Clover Valley Party Pals was • held on Tuesday. October 15th at the home of Joyce. Osborne at 7.15. The president opened the meeting with the 4-H pledge followed by the roll call. The minutes of thelast meeting, were read by Joan Osborne and we also had a treasurer's report. The Club Party is being held on Monday, October 21st at the home of. Lynn Elphick at 7.00 p.m. Both leaders led in discussion of hospitality in the club. Mrs. Elphick discussed courtesies at club meetings. Mrs. Hamilton discussed etiquette at' banquets and dinners. and etiquette for many occasions. For group work each girl wrote an invitation for the club party. Themeeting closed with the 4-H creed. The hostess served a lovely lunch of squares, cookies and juice. i °
