Sheppherd was the daughter of the

formerly of Dungannon.' She is
survived by her sister ' Mary
Sheppherd who is living in Toronto.
Mrs. Frank Maulden, who has
been hospitalized in Wingham as
the result of an accident at
T#eswater Fair, returned to her
home in Kinlough on Sunday.

A receptionhonouring the occa-
sion of the 50th wedding anniver-
sary of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. M.
Dawson, London was held at The
Paddock Restaurant, Western Fair
grounds on Sunday,. October 2 ith.
About forty immediate• relatives
were in attendance. Those attend-
ing locally were Mr. and Mrs.
Huntly Dawson and Addin, R. R. 5
Lucknow and Mr. and Mrs. Donald
Dawson, R. R. 1 Ripley.
Mr. and Mrs.. Bryce Elliott of
Lucknow spent the week end in
Detroit where they visited with
their uncle, Howard Elliott, and
called at the Ross R. Northrop and
Sons Funeral Home where the
funeral service for Mrs. Elliott (the
former Gladys Stanley) was held on
Monday.
R. D. Ross of Lucknow has been
filling in as school crossing guard
while Ed Blackwell ,is a patient in
Wingham Hospital,
Mrs. Wm. MacKenzie, formerly
of Toronto, is now residing at
Pinecrest Manor in Lucknow. Mrs.
MacKenzie. who is 98 years of age.
is a former Lucknow resident.
Mr. and Mrs. Allister Hughes of
Wingham and Ros' MacMillan of
Watford visited on Saturday with
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Houston.
Leonard MacDonald of Lucknow
returned to his home recently after
spending two weeks in Wingham
Hospital.
Mrs. Gary Ritchie of Lucknow
returned from Victoria Hospital,
London on Wednesday of last
week, where she had been a patient
for a 'week after undergoing,
surgery.
Dr. and Mrs. W. 0. Rhoad of
Alexandria, Virginia. visited last
week end with Miss Sadie Johnson
and Mrs. Neil. J. MacKenzie;
Lucknow and in Ashfield and
Ripley, where he was a former
minister.
Mrs. Lloyd McNall of Kinloss is
again a patient inVVingham Hospit-
al.
Mr, and Mrs. Harry' Lavis of
Lucknow recently enjoyed a con-{,.
ducted holiday trip to Lake Placid,
New York State.
