LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Urges Residents To
Support Extended ,
Bus Service
7 Crescent Place, Ap't 2222
• Toronto, Ontario, M4C 5L7
October 2, 1974.
Mr. Don Thompson,
The Sentinel,
Lucknow, Ontario.
Dear, Don:
Recently my wife and.I travelled
from Toronto to Kinloss and back
by the Bruce Coach Lines of
Kincardine. We found the coaches
quite comfortable and the drivers
especially courteous.
1 understand that people at
Southampton, Port Elgin, Tiverton.
Kincardine, Paisley, Walkerton
and many other points are able to
travel to Toronto and back having
over seven hours in the city daily,
except on Sunday. On Fridays.
Sundays and holidays there are
extra services. This is one of the
few. Bus Companies with a franch-
ise to deliver and collect passeng-
ers at the Internati6nal Airport in
Maiton.
While speaking to one of the
drivers 1.. enquired about this
Company running another bus
through Lucknow every day. He
thought this could •be arranged if
some of the organizations in
Lucknow were willing to support a
bus service.
Should Sentinel readers be int-
erested in supporting this type of
energy savitrg project, a letter to
Murray Gaunt. M..P.P., Parliament
Buildings, Toronto would be help-
ful. I have been speaking. to
Murray and he too thinks that a
daily . bus through Lucknow to
Toronto would be popular. I hope
that the next time we go up that
way we can get closer to home than
the Black Horse.
• Sincerely yours,
Sandy Nicholson.
