BARBECUE AND STUDENT
ELECTIONS
On Wednesday, the level five's
held their barbecue of hamburgers
and pop. After the meal, the
speeches were held for the posi-
tions in the student council for
1974. The results of the election
which were held the next day are as
follows:

NEW LIBRARY
On Monday of this week the new
library was finally opened to the
classes. Mrs. Gratton and her
library club will berunning the
show; and after the book auction.
with Mrs. Gratton as auctioneer we
made four dollars which will 'go
towards two new paperbacks. The
support of the students was
appreciated. Thanks Wray.
DANCE
Last Friday a good crowd was in
attendance at R.D.S. first: dance of
the year. The group CAKE was
playing and should be thanked for
coming at such short notice. They
really filled the gap. (no pun
intended).' • -

smiling face back at school after a
week long illness although she has
a nasty .cough she has not of yet
been condemned, right Cathy! /
ST. HELENS
Mrs. Ernest Gaunt and Karen
and Mrs. Harold Gaunt and Janice
were week end visitors with - Mr.
and Mrs. Glen McDonald and
family in Woodstock.
Irvin McCabe of Windsor was a
recent visitor with Mr. and Mrs.
Frank McQuillin.
John Pritchard, who was injured
on Saturday at Lucknow Fair.' is a
patient in Wingham and District
Hospital. He will be missed on his
mail route and bus 6 to Brookside
School.
Mrs. Gordon McIntyre of Rich-
mond Hill is spending a while with
relatives and her mother, Mrs. W.
I. Miller; who isa patient in
Wingham and District Hospital.
Mrs. Lorne Forster visited her
mother. Mrs. Earl Hodgins in St.
Joseph's Hospital, • London on
Wednesday. Her father. Earl
Hodgins of Bervie, who has been a
patient in Kincardine Hospital. is
spending a while at the Forster
home.

In the Aitchison spill, the wagon
of Clarence Bacher of Cayuga was
bumped, frightening his horses,
and they went out of control and
through twos' snow fences on the
south side of the ring and, ended up
in the . light horse ring.

horse ring. As the Bacher horses
went out of control, they were
caught in front, of them and the
horses went over the top of them.
