A resolution from the Town of Whitby regarding the `frustration and aggravation' of obtaining a gpecial Permit for the sale of alcoholic beverages was tabled. The Clerk was instructed to write a letter of complaint regarding the loss of garbage . from .a truck depositing refuse at the dump. The road accounts were ordered paid on motion of Councillors Rutherford and Durnin.. INT ADS Quu DAN ROSE CONTINUED FROM PAGE 1 where he majored in Animal Science • From 1960 to 1963 he served as Assistant Agricultural Representative in York County and frorri 1963 to 1971 as Agricul- tural Representative in the District of Rainy River. While on leave of absence , he obtained his Master's degree from the University of Guelph in 1967, specializing in Resource/Development . . For the past three years, Mr. Rose has gained international agri- cultural experience while on sec- ondment from the Ministry, as a staff member in an exchange 'from between. the University of Guelph and the University of . Ghana , West Africa. His responsibilities includ- ed teaching in the Faculty of Agri- culture and development of an in-service training program for agricultural extension workers in Ghana, in his new capacity he will be responsible for coordinating and directing the implementation of Ministry of Agriculture and Food programs in the counties of Grey , Bruce ,' Dufferin, North Simcoe and South Simcoe. He will also provide program leadership to Ministry staff working in the area and farm management counseling as required. Mr. and Mrs. Rose and family returned from Ghana in mid summer. Mrs. Rose is the former Ruth Webb of St. Helens and Dan is a native of Lochalsh. They have been resiiding in Lucknow -with Dan's mother Mrs. Elizabeth Stadler!: until housing is secured in Markdale. The Dose children commenced school at Lucknow this Fall.
