Miss Carol Farrier, daughter of

entered Queens Univerzity, ,. King-
ston, and her sister Colleen at the
Toronto University is majoring in
music.
Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer,
Eddie and Donald, were Sunday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Ron-
ald Nicholson of Strathroy. Mrs.
Nicholson is the forrner Irene de
Boer.

on Sunday attended Bluevale
United Church Anniversary ser-
vices and were guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Johnston.

over on Wednesday.
Miss Joyce Tiffin of Toronto
spent the week end with her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Tiffin,
and attended the wedding recep-
tion on Saturday evening in
Whitechurch Hall in honor of
newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. David
Sle ightholm .
Mrs. Wallace Conn and Mss.
Earl Caslick spent last week in
Langenburg, •Saskatchewan, with.
Mrs. Conn's daughter, Mrs.
Mack Armstrong and Mr. Arm-
strong. The ladies will return
horse this week.
On Wednesday evening, Mrs.
George Fisher, Rick Ernwechter
of CKNX, -Mrs. Victor Emerson
attended the Bruce South District
Safety Council speaking contest
at Ripley Public School. This
year instead of Poster contest,
the Safety Council in Bruce decid -
ed in favor of a speaking contest.
There were, three contestants at
Ripley. The first and second prize
winners meet the winners from
the other,Bruce Districts at Pais-
ley , September 20. The
judges at Ripley were Mrs. Suther-
land , Rick Einwechter and Mrs.
Gilchrist. Mrs. Dave Ireland,
Bruce South District President,
and Mrs. McCormick,
representative of the Safety Coun-
cil had charge of the meeting.
/The speakers were Miss Morris,
Miss Meyers and Robert Sults.
Mr. and Mrs. Matheson of Brit-
ish Columbia on Thursday visited
with their cousins Mr. and Mrs.
Hector MacDonald of Elora and
called on Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Emerson. Mrs. Matheson's par-
ents resided on the farm now own-
ed by Bud Sutton. Victor took
them to see where their relatives
lied so that Mrs. Matheson could
take snaps.
SOCIAL EVENING
The Young Peoples Society of
Langside and Whitechurch were
invited by Mr. and Mrs. Beverley
Kay to a social evening on Satur-
day night at the manse. Here
they enjoyed a Weiner, corn and
marshmallow roast outside. In-
side they had a sing song. The
next meeting will be Sunday
evening September 22 at 8.30 at
the manse when they will make

Secretary to the Chairman
In addition to the normal duties of making appointments,
typing, and filing, the secretary will be responsible for
maintaining records relating to students, personnel, and
finances. Responsibilities may change as the centre ex-
pands.
A .highly motivated person who is adaptable and able to
work with people at many levels will find this to be an in-
teresting and demanding position. Excellent language,
typing, shorthand, and interpersonal skills are important
in this particular setting.
Preference will be given to qualified college graduates
or persons with proven and acceptable work experience
in business, industry or education.
The starting salary is $627 per month plus benefits and
the positkin is open now.

W.I. branch, who invited Bruce
East District branch Curators to
attend. There were 16 present. '
Mrs. R. C. Walker provincial cur-
ator for Ontario conducted the
workshop and gave a very interest-
ing instructive review of the man-
ual.
