Directors are elected to the
Ontario Milk Marketing Board
for a four year term. Mr. Ken
McKinnon of Port Elgin is the
sitting Director for Region 11,
comprising the counties of Bruce,
Grey and Huron. Mr. McKinnon
represents some nineteen hund-
red producers and his term ex-
pires this year. Mr. McKinnon is
presently Vice -Chairman of the
Board and he is eligible for re-
election from the Region.
Any licenced milk producer in
Region 11 is eligible to be nom-
inated to run for the position of
Board Director. Nomination
forms are available from Harvey
Weppler, Port Elgin, secretary of
the countymilk committte; Or-
ville Shewfelt, Board Fieldman;
and the Ministry of Agriculture
and Food, Box 1330, Walkerton,
Ontario NOG 2V0.
Nomination forms must be sub-
mitted to the Milk Commission of
Ontario between September 15
and 28. The nomination form
must be signed by ten eligible
producers plus the nominee.
Voting day will be October 29.
and there will be three polling
booths throughout the County.
Each producer will be notified
ten days prior ,to the election of
the polling booth where he may
vote, and be given a list of the
candidates. One vote ' per licence
holder is allowed and the success-
ful candidate will serve for a
four year term. •
