New Entrance and Street signs, Dress Up The VilIage
•
44
A couple of important news
items which transpired just prior
to the Sentinel holidays, and
which we have been a bit slow in
following upon , are the new signs
which have been installed in the
community ,'both street signs
and entrance signs to the village.
The entrance signs to the vil-
lage , at the four highway entrance
points on the north , south , east
and west village limits , give
visitors to the community the
same welcome as always, but, the
new signs replace ones which
have become a bit rotten and
weather-beaten over the years.
Cost of erecting the four wooden,
signs was about $700 and the work
was done by the firm of
Brunzlow Signs of Crediton.•
Another marked improvement
to the village is the erection of
new street signs. 53 signs, 42
posts and the necessary hardware
for erection were purchased from
the Adult Opportunity Centre at
Walkerton. Erection was done by
.the village works department.
Total cost of this project was
$1615.
