The Ministry of Health in- formed council that all documents have been received by them re- garding the pool for the complex . and that they are made to their standards. The Clerk was instructed to start proceedings to get approval for additional Tile Drain money / for another $500,000., to be lent to applicants. The Municipal Drain report was presented for the Scott Drain on Concession 12 and a meeting will be held to consider it on Sept- ember 16. The Reeve and Clerk were auth- orized to sign a Subdivider's Agreement with Kin -Bruce Invest- ments on part of Lot 59, Conces- sion A. Harry Coiling was engaged to clean up and cover the garbage at the Township dump when neces- sary. Road accounts of $22,490.73 and Township accounts of $21,203.24 were ordered paid. KINTAIL A bridal shower was held in North Ashfield School on Friday evening in honour of Jan Simpson, bride of this month. Mrs. Marjorie Farrish called the bride to the decorated bride's chair, to the strains of Here Comes The Bride. Miss Cathy, Simpson and Miss Pamela McIntosh acted as the bride's attendants. A short program of music followed. A guitar and piano .selection by Mrs. Nancy Swan and Lynda; an Irish jig by Mary Lillian Simpson; piano solos by Pamela McIntosh and Mrs. Beryl MacDonald. The address was read by Miss :Jackie Collinson. Jan then opened the gifts'and made a warm reply thanking the ladies for the lovely presents and the hostesses. A delicious lunch was, served. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Simpson spent last week end at Milford Bay with Mr. and Mrs.: 'Kenneth Kaye. Mi. and Mrs. Donald Simpson, Steven, Helen and Christine are. vacationing in the Western Prov- 1 inces. James Meldrum and three children of Detroit visited this week end with her mother Mrs. Sarah Blue and cousins Mr. and. Mrs. Finlay Mac- Donald. ac- Donald. Miss Edna Cook of Owen Sound was a guest of her sister Mrs. Rhoda MacKenzie on the week Funeral for Accident Victim Jamie Lizmore of R. R. 4 Kin- cardine, .whose death occurred in a recent motor accident at Sheppardton, was born in London, Ontario, August 13, 1956. He at- tended S. S. # 1 Kinloss and Greenock Public School, later, Holyrood Central and in his senior years Lucknow Public School. He graduated this spring from Kincardine District High School and had been working part time through his fina 1 school year at the Kincardine I.G.A. He had been a cub and later a scout through his, junior, years at Holyrood. He had been. known for his pub- lic speaking, representing both Lucknow Legion in Public School and Kincardine Legion in High School. He had also won several awards on Armistice poems and essays for the Legion. He is survived by his Mother and Father, Jean and Edward Liz - more , of Bervie, a sister Mrs. John (Janet) Whetten of Kitchener , a brother Jon of Stoney Creek, a brother Harry (Joe) of Port Elgin, also two nieces and one nephew. The funeral was held Tuesday, August 6th, 1974 from the McLen- nan Funeral Home , 0Kincardine ,. Rev. George Garratt officiating. Pallbearers were Dale MacPher- son, Jim Hanna., Blair Armstrong, Jamie McEwan, Doug Hill. and Rick McLeod. Honourary Pallbearer was Gary Fair. Flower bearers were Len Liz - more , Brian Smith, Fred Whit- tington, hit-tington, Frank Walpole, Barry Cornish and Ken McEwan. Jamie was laid to rest in Kincar- dine Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Duncan Simpson spent Monday evening at Camlachi with Mr. and. Mrs. Jack Allan. Travelling with them were David, Brian, Mary Lillian and Duncan Jr. On Tuesday we' drove via U.S.A. to Sault Ste. Marie stopping at Sandusky, Ind- ian River and St. Ignus. We re- turned on Friday by Manitoulin Island crossing by ferry to Tober- mory and. spending a day at Sauble. Beach. We called to see Walter Needham at Wiarton formerly of Ripley. We also saw Earl Swan, formerly of Ashfield and said hello to him. Mrs. Earl Howes had her two sisters from Toronto, Misses Char- lotte and Anna MacKenzie, visit- ing with her last week. For the last two weeks the ser- vices have been at 8 o'clock in the evening at Ashfield Presbyter- ian Church but this week August 25 the service will be at 1.30 p.m It will be a baptismal service. W.M.S. is on Wednesday evening, choir practise at 7.30 on Thurs- ST.
