Pine River United Church was
decorated with deep pink roses,
shasta daisies and spirea, for the
wedding of. Mary Irene Henry and
David Edward French on Saturday,
July 6, 1974,
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Melville Henry R. R. 1
Kincardine and the groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack French
Toronto.
Rev. Renver of Wiarton officiat-
ed at the double ring ceremony.
The organist , Mrs. Bob Court-
ney , R. R 1 Ripley played The
Wedding Prayer and 0 Perfect
Love while the register was being
signed.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father. She was lovely
in a ,floor length gown of. Crepe
Hirt, an empirewaist line, long
lace sleeves , high. neckline, and
trimmed with guipure lace. •Her
headpiece was white roses and lily
of the valley, her shoulder length
veil was alsotrimmed with guip-
ure lace. She carried a bouquet
of deep pink and white roses and
spirea.
The matron of honour was her
sister Mrs. Bob Benson, Scarbor-
oughand the bridesmaid was the
grcom's sister-in-law. Mrs. Glen
French. They both carried bouqu-
ets of deep pink carnations, white
shasta daisies and spirea. They
wore identical floor length gowns
of printed pink and white flocked
silk organza. They also wore•
white picture. hats.
• Michelle Henry .niece of the
bride was flower -girl in a
floor -length gown of pink and
whiterdse buds printed flocked
silk organza , she wore a white
ribbon in her hair and carried a
basket of white shasta daisies,
spirea and deep pink carnations.
The best man was Mr. Glen .
French, brother of the groom.
Guests were ushered by Wayne
McNeeley, Toronto and
Ron Gray, Port Hope.
A reception was held at Sutton
Park. The bride's mother receiv-
ed guests wearing a floor length
gown of blue chiffon and white
accessories and a corsage of deep
pink rose buds and spirea.
The groom's mother chose a
floor -length gown of fuschia color
ed chiffon and white accessories
and a corsage of white carnations.
For a honeymoon in the Pocono
Gardens in Pennsylvania, the bride
wore a street length beige crimp-
lene dress, short sleeves, trimmed
with green and orange.: Beige
accessories and a corsage of
orange carnations completed her
ensemble .
The young couple will live in
Toronto. Prior to her marriage
she received many showers, a
relative shower at the home of her
aunt, Mrs. Chester Finnigan, a
community.shower at Reid's Corn-
ers Hall, a relative and office
showers in Toronto.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Van der
Klippe , Alice and Linda returned
on Friday from a three week's visit
to their homeland, Holland. Their
son Bill, who was in charge of the
farm in their absence, had to go
to Wingham Hospital Wednesday
but was able to return home Fri-
day. John Clipperton assisted
Bill's brother With the chores.
Mr. and. Mrs. Fred Clipperton,
Debbie, Karen and Kevin of Lon-
don visited Thursday and Friday
with his brother Wilfred Clipper -
Iton and son John and Mrs. Bessie,
Mullis.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenag-
han on Sunday were at Rock Hill
Park near Shelbourne to hear the
Johnnie Rodrigueg Show.
