Dungannon nuptials

June 29 for the wedding at
which Elizabeth Isabel! (Betty).
Pollock exchanged wedding
vows and rings with Terry

•The bride is the daughter, of
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Pollock,
Goderich, and the groom .is the
son of Mr.. and Mrs. Harold

The bride was given in
marriage •by her mother and
father. She wore a full-length
gown of lace over satin with a
high lace stand-up collar and
long sleeves. Ruffles accented
the waistline, the front hemline

A peau de solie ribbon encir-
• cled the waistline. A delicate
seed pearl headpiece held her
floor -length veil which was
edged with lace and studded
with sequins. She carried a
cascade of red roses, pink Car,
nations ,and baby's breath.
Maid of honor was Sandra
Maize, sister of the groom, Kit-
chener. She chose a floor -length
gown of white crystallette em-
bossed with tiny red velvet
roses. It had an empire
waistline, short 'puffed sleeves
with lace trim and a round
collar neckline, also with lace
trim. A red yell/let ribbon encir-
cled her waist . and tied in 'a
bow at front with long
streamers. She wore a red
velvet • ribbon and tiny white
roses in her hair and carried a
nosegay of red roses and white
mums.
Bridesm.aids were Brenda
Pollock, sister of the bride,
Goderich and 'Doreen McClin-
chey, friend of the. bride, Kit-
chener. They were gowned
identically to the • maid of
honor.
. Frank McNaufhton; Strat-
ford, was best man. Ushers.
were Greg Maize, brother of the
groom, Dungannon, and Bill
Pollock, brother of the bride,
Goderich.
The wedding reception was
at Saltford Valley Hall. The
bride's mother wore a .long
pink arnel triacetate gown with
a corsage of red roses. The
groom's, Mother chose a long
mint green jersey dress, also
worn with a corsage of red
roses.
For a honeymoon trip to
Western Canada and the
Calgary Stampede, the bride
changed to a knee-length short
sleeved dress of blue jersey knit
with white accessories.
The newlyweds are residing
in Woodstock.
Prior to her marriage,
shooters were given in the
bride's honor by Sandra Maize
at her mother's home; Elsie
Hulley and daughters at
Carlow Hall; and by girl
friends of the bride in Kit-
chener.

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon- Kirkland
had a visit •Thursday from her cous-
in, Mr. and Mr,. Donald Stothers
of Stratford. On Sunday Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Stobo of Teeswater
visited her brother Gordon.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hunter and
family had his mother , Mrs. Jake
Hunter and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Clifford Menary Sunday afternoon.
Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. John
Hunter and family 'visited Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Caesar of
Whitechurc.h.
Mr, and Mrs. Jim Hunter attend-
ed the Emerson family picnic held
at the'horne of Mr. and Mrs. Clar•
ence Ackert of Kincardine.
Carol Ritchie had her school
friend, Brenda Henderson of Luck -
now for a coupl of days last week
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Swan and
family attended the Colwell Pic-
nic at,noon at Purple Grove.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Helm and
Janine attended the MacDonald
picnic at her uncle's cottage north
of point Cflark on Sunday.

London are spending a week's holi-
days at their uncle's Mr. and Mrs.
Lorne Cook while the parents are
on holidays.
Barbara Wilkins of Paris, Ontar-'
io spent the week 'end at home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Wilkins.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles. Wilkins
attended the Paisley Centennial at
the week end. Charlie was born
there and attended some high
school before moving.with his par-
ents to the Dungannon district.
On Wednesday of last week, for
