the sixth Burt •Reunion and Picnic.

ment with Gordon. This school
is noted for its famous band which
toured in Europe and Barbara was a
member in it. Her grandmother,
Mrs. Robert Munn, formerly of
Ripley, now resides in the Blue -
water Nursing Home in Zurich.
The Carling Red Cap Aerobatic
planes flew directly over Ripley
at twelve thirty noon last Sunday
on their way to the afternoon air
show at the air field north of Kin-
cardine. The planes arepiloted
three men - each 'former armed . .
services pilot and one lady pilot.
They do outstanding to/rn
maneuvers and will appear at the.
CNE in Toronto. They are the
only Civilian Aerobatic team in
North America. They were fly
ing straight north in the clear •
sky. • Brought back memories of
General Balboa leading his flight
of 24 over here in the 1930's,

Presently home with her father
•Johnston MacLeod just south of
Ripley' is Miss Carolyn ,N1acLeod .
Carolyn spent the past two years
at the Lakehead University in.
Thunder, Bay on post graduate
studies. She recently graduated
there. In 1972 she obtained her
R.N. from the Victoria I fospita l
School of Nursing in London . ,
Along with her at Vic were three
more girls, all members of the
Grade 13 class at the -Ripley Dist-
rict High School, namely Sandra
MacCharles, Pam Farrell, and
Brenda Humphrey. All four girls
ranked high in their large class of
143 at Vic hospital'and the people
of Ripley district were
understandably proud of tti'en1.
Visiting with Don and Anne
McCosh in Ripley this past
week were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
Smith of Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs.
UUerh Wagner of London, Mr.
and Mrs. Irvine Sharpe of Durham
Mrs. Louise Schneller of Winghafti
Mrs. Donald Earle and girls of
Ingersoll and from the local area,
Mr. and Mrs.'Homer Devitt,' Mr.
and Mrs. Jim N1cEan, Mr. and
Mrs. Earl Elliott and Ian, Mr.
and Mrs. John Farrell', and Sam
Rider.
Leonard .Smith who is the prin-
cipal of•the Northwestern Colleg-
iate in Stratford, will be on leave
this corning year .to do postgrad-
uate work at Oxford University in
