For Newlyweds
• KINLOUGH NEWS.
The Kinlough Presbyterian Sun-
day School room was the setting
for a social evening .honouring
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Guest newly-
weds. Walter Breckles was chair-
man and welcomed everyone and
extended best wishes to Mr. and
Mrs. Guest. •
Readings were given by Mrs.
Frank Maulden, Mrs. Bert Nichol-
son, Mrs. Don McCosh. Mrs.
Jack Barr played a piano number
"Let the rest of the world go by"
and all joined inthelast chorus.
Mrs. Don Bushell conducted a
contest. Burton Collins and P. A.
Murray each told a story.
At this time a special welcome
was extended to Mr.: and Mrs.
Burton Collins, who showed
pictures of their recent trip to
London, England and Wales. Kay
said what a pleasure it was to
Come back to Kinlough where she
had taught for many years and had
made so' many friends. She began
by showing their plane the DC -10
Western Bell and in. few hours they
arrived in London, England. •
Every picture was a place of int-
erest such as Buckingham Palace,
the residence of the late Sir Win-
ston Churchill, Big Ben and num-
erous others as well as the com-
mentary. Burt remained in Eng-
land for a time to be with his
sister Helen owing to the illness
of her husband Jerome Schmidt.
Kay came onhome on British Aix -
ways 747. They then showed pic-
tures of Goderich, Douglas Point
and Northern Ontario and some
local pictures of Mr. and Mrs.
William Haldenby at Holyrood
Hall on their Golden Wedding
Anniversary; also of Miss Edna

Boyle's special Sunday, July 8th,
1973 at the Anglican Church, it
being her 60th anniversary as or-
ganist; Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Thompson's 40th wedding anniver-
sary; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Currie
on their 25th anniversary; and
some Purple Grove neighbours. -
Wally expressed thanks and a
hearty round of applause was given
in appreciation.
At this time Fred and Mary.
Guest were asked to take their
places and Miss May Boyle read
an appropriate address. Hugh
Lane and Keith Maulden made the
presentation of a leather chair and
matching table lamp. Fred thank-
ed everyone for the nice party
and the lovely gifts.
All joined in singing "For they
are jolly good fellows". Follow-
ing the grace delicious refresh-
ments were served and a social
time was enjoyed.
