MRS. DAVID SCOBIE
Elizabeth Mary Scobie, widow
of William David Scobie died. at
Metro. Lodge Nursing Home, St.
Catharines where she had been a
resident for the past three years.
She was in her 82nd year.
She was born in Gibraltar where
her father was stationed with the
British •Army , and carne to Can-
ada with her husband David Scob-
ie in 1928, to visit his brother Rev.
James Scobie at Whitechurch, Ont-
ario
Mr. and Mrs. Scobie remained
in this vicinity and he accepted a
position as accountant at Silver-.
woods Dairy, Lucknow where they
resided for a few years, later
beingtransferred to St. Cathar-
ines where he died in 1956.
Mrs. Scobie is survived by one.
son William and one daughter,
Mrs: .James (Mary) MacMillan,
both of St. Catharines; • also
five sisters and two brothers in
England; ten grandchildren and
seven great 'grandchildren. ,She
was a member of St. Denis' Rom-
an Catholic Church where the
funeral mass was.held with bur--
ial in. Victoria.. Lawn Cemetery.

ers, Paul, Bernard , Mark and
Teddy Scobie, David, Joseph,.
James and Gregory MacMillan.

The Chin Family, who for many
years made their home in Luck -
now, recently held a. family gath-
ering in Toronto and were all to- -
gether with their mother, as a
family, for the first time sirice the
death of their father the late' Char-
les Chin in 1951.
