Entertain Senior
Concert Band
Of London
Mr. and Mrs. William 'E. And-
rew had the pleasure of entertain-
ing eighty members of the Senior
Concert Band and their ,teacher
Miss Mary Andrew from Woodland
Heights Senior Public. School of
London on Friday , June 7 at noon.
The group had played a. concert
at Brucefield at nine a.m. and ,
another at Victoria Street Public
School, Goderich at 11 a . m , One
large bus and two cars transported
the young people throughout the
trip. They were an attractive
sight in their uniforms of green
and gold.'
After lunch Mr. and Mrs. And-
rew accompanied the band to How -
ick Central. School, where they
enjoyed an outstanding perform-
ance presented to an audience of
eight hundred pupils. It is just
three Years since Woodland
Heights began its music program
and it is unbelievable what per-
fection these young people have
attained.
Some of the members were
taking part in an athletic tourna-
ment on their return to the city
and later that evening their school
dance was being held.
