name which has been registered
with the province of ,Ontario,
will this year be held in the vil-
lage of Ripley.
The provincial certificate of
registration dated in April 1974,
bearS the names of the founding
executive, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver
McCharles, Mr. and Mrs. Omar
Brooks; Mr. and Mrs. Dan McIn-
nes , Mr. and Mrs. fzuss Ritchie
and Mx. and Mrs. Russ Phillips.
The name is registered as
"Lucknow Craft, Festival"'. From
the founding directors an execu-
tive was elected. Oliver McChar-
les is president, Mrs. Russ
Phillips is secretary and Omar
Brooks is treasurer.
In an open letter elsehWere in
this issue, the Lucknow Craft Fest-
ival committee has stated that
a cheque for $2941.72 has been
sent to the Lucknow Agricultural
Society committee representing
the 1973 Craft Festival proceeds,
meeting to discuss the running-at-
large of dogs 'in the village, par-
ticularly, one of two vicious dogs.
After 'much consideration as to
what should be the proper course •
to' follow it was decided that the

Liner Installed
A new vinyl liner has been in-
Stalled in the Lucknow, and District
Swimming Pool and all is in readi-,
ness for the summer swimming
season. Following problems with
the, initial liner which was instal-
led when the pool 'was built.. a re-
placement liner was ordered
through Rintoul pools of Wingham
which, according to local recrea-
tion officials, "fits. like a glove".
Registration was completed in

Robert Stanfield , Progressive Con-
servative Party leader, visited
Teeswater briefly on Saturday
afternoon as part of a visit to Hur-
on and Bruce Ridings. Mr. Stan-

: Rev. Albert Cook has accepted
a call, to Trinity and St. Helens
United Church charge, effective
July 1st, succeeding Reir. James
Hummel.
Rev. Cook is a married man
with a son 20 years of age and a
daughter 17. He served in the
Navy and has been in the, ministry
for 16 years, ministering at Porcu-
pine in Northern Ontario for sev-
eral yeaks and more recently has
been a supply minister at Queen
Street United Church, Toronto.
Mr. and Mrs. Cook will arrive
at the Ashfield Manse , from Tor-
onto, the latter part of July follow•
ing a vacation abroad and will
commence services' on the charge
August 4th.

Mrs. Gordon Millar, the former
Vera MacDonald, daughter of 'Mr.
and Mrs. Angus MacDonald, of
St. Helens, graduated from St.
Mary's, School of Nursing , Kitch-
ener on Thursday, June 6th.
This was the school of nursing's
50th year and it's last graduating •
class, with sixty-five nurses re-
ceiving; diplomas, the largest
class since: the school's opening.
Graduation was held at Fairview
Cinema , Kitchener. A family
dinner followed at the Bavarian
