Sands, left for the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. Arriv- ing there at 10.30 we split up and explored the building. We all sat through a lecture on horm- ones at 2.30. At 5 o'clock we boarded the bus once again for the ride home. We stopped for 1.h6ur in Guelph for supper. Hopefully a.good time was had by all. Thanks to Mr. Malholtra and Mr. Sands. TRACK'SAND FIELD Monday, May 27th at R.D.S. saw eleven secondary track and field records broken. In the Midget girls' division, Janice. Farrell broke three records, as she ran the 220 in a time of 32 seconds, and completed-the 80 metre hurdles with a time of 16;1 Seconds. In the field category, Janice hoisted the shot put 26 feet 5 inches; and broke the form- er R. D . S . mark. The midget boys." section saw seven records shattered. Larry Farrell ran the 120 yd . htirdles in a time of 18.4 seconds, and 'with a jump: of 16 feet , Larry placed first in the midget boy' long jump. With a throw of 41' feet 1 inch, Jeff Rouse placed first in the midget boys' shotput , and he hurled the discus -to a mark of 120 feet 3 incheii. Danny Boyd broke three records in the track section; In the 100 yard, Danny dame through with a winning time of 11.4 seconds and he completed the 220 yard in the time of 27 seconds.. The third record was established in the 440 *yard race as Danny ran the event in one minute , 6.. seconds. She gave the call to worship and welcomed all to the meeting. The hymn from Greenlands icy mountains 'was' sung followed by prayer by Mrs. Rintoul. The scripture Psalm 106 was read by Miss Annie Laidlaw. • The meditation was given by Mrs. Elroy Laicilaw , telling of the ' giving of the 10 Commandments and .how Moses led the Israelites to the promised land with God givfng 'a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night to hide them from their enemies the Egyptians. The crossing of the Red Sea was described how the waters were held back on each side leaving dry ground. When Moses held up the rod the waters divided for the road and when the Egyptians were coming when Motes lifted up the rod the waters Closed in. God gave the tablets of stone with the laws after Moses had been 40 days.
