Kinloss Township Council met
on May 6 at 7.30, the reeve
and all council present.
After the minutes were read,
Court of Revision was held on the
Taylor-Tiffin-Scott Drain. After
a couple of ch'anges in acreage
were made, Court of Revision was
closed and By-law - 4 - 1974
given 3rd and final reading. '
, Tenders for this drain will be
called and to be in the clerk's
office by May 21st at 6 p.m.
Council a motion that
they would turn over all funds
collected voluntarily in the Town-•
ship to the fund raising committee
of, the Ripley-Huron Recreation
Complex.
Application was made to the
Ministry of Transportation and
Communication for supplement-
ary monies for municipal drain-
age assessments for 1974.
Application was made to the
same, department for '-
supplementary monies' for main-
tenance for 1974.
The quotation of Pollard Bros.
at $61.60 per ton was accepted
for calcium chloride (liquid) and
the quotation of Allied Chemical
at $58.24 per ton was accepted for

KINTAIL
A young Peoples Group was re-
organized and the first meeting
held at the Ashfield Presbyterian
Church on Sunday evening. Mr.
Sand was leader. Ripley young
people joined with Ashfield. Plans
were made for, future activities
and a singing group to be formed
starting on Tuesday evening.
The W.M.S. is to be held on
Thursday evening „ May 16 at the
home of Mrs. Lloyd Collins. A
bible study group, is to be discussed
at the meeting,' and plans made
for, a suitable night.
Duncan Allan left • left week for
a vacation in the British Isles.
.Miss Marianne Frayne and Miss
Flora Simpson spent, three days
with the G. D.C.I. 'band in Lon -
don, Sarnia and Hamilton, return-
ing home on Saturday.
Robert Farrish took ill on WO-,
nesday evening and is a patient
in London. We wish him a speedy
recovery.
Many were on hand Wednesday
night at Brookside School to sign
up for.the ball teams for the com-
ing season. These games always
create much interest in Ashfield
and .we are looking forward to
therri again this summer.
A meeting of the/Maitland Pres-
byterial was held in the Presbyter-
ian Church in Ripley on Monday
evening. Ladies' from Ashfield
