Red Shield Blitz
011(Nloy 1st
The Salvation Army's annual
Red Shield Appeal will be held
during the month of May in the
'town of Lucknow. Commencing
on Wednesday, May 1st, with a
residential Blitz, there is
every evidence of success again
according to the Campaign Dir-
ector, Captain J. Cameron.,
THAT Lucicnow Fire Department
responded to a call about 10 p,m .
Saturday night to the Kintail
area. A grass fire, in the area
of the Presbyterian Camp, 'had
been burning for some time on
the top of the hill. Firemen
extinguished the blaze. The-
real danger was that the fire
would get over the bank and into
the wooded area, and if it had
gone unattended, this probably
would have happened. i.
