On Saturday evening a shower
was held in Whitechurch Commun-
ity Memorial Hall by Mrs. Jim
Taylor in honour of her cousin
Miss Alma Conn, bride-to-be in
May.
The platform was prettily dec-
orated with pink and white'stream-
ers, attractively placed on cloth-
es dryers and in front of which
were seated Mrs. Douglas Conley,
her sister , Alma Conn, bride-to-
be, and her sister Mrs. Herb Hunt-
er. They entered to the strains of
Here Comes the Bride played by
Mrs. Dan Tiffin. Mrs. Taylor "
entertained the large crowd with
humorous games and contests.
Among the gifts received were
pillow cases, bun warmer, blank-
ets , china ware, vases; night
gowns, heating tray, cake tray ,
bathroom sets, cheese board ,
plaques, towels, cannister set,
bread box, card table and chairs..
MissCorin 'thanked' all for coming,
the sponsors'and for the beautiful
gifts. All sang For She's a •Jolly
Good Fellow. Alma was 'present-
ed with a cow trimmed with bows
from the gifts. Lunch was served;
