St. Helens Women's Institute
gathered at the St: Helens hall
for the annual Institute Banquet.
A 'delicious hot turkey dinner
was served by the• Donnybrook
ladies and really enjoyed by
everyone. ,The highlight of the
evening was receiving a gift from
their Sunshine Sister, who had.
been a mystery all year. Mrs.
Allan. Miller , Mrs. Bob Aitchison,
Mrs. Lorne Forster and Mrs. Ernest
Snowden planned the program for
the evening.
Interesting and humorous read-
ings' were given by.
Mrs. Jim Curran and Mrs. Chris
Cook. Contests were conducted

Sunday School at the Ashfield
Presbyterian Church started 'on
Sunday for the Symmer months.
Mrs. Bruce Millar, an enthus-
iastic bicycle rider , rode from
Palmerston to Wingham on Friday
in about five hours.
Mrs. Finlay MacDonald is spend-
ing a few days •in• London with Mr.
and Mrs. George MacDonald and
new babe , having returned home
with them after a visit with Mr.
and Mrs.. Elmer Culbert.
Mrs; Frank MacLennan has been
a patient in Wingham Hospital.
