Looking at the barrel of a gun
clutched in the hands of a desper-
ate person is an unpleasant and
scary experience and Allan Mac-
kay , son of Mr. and Mrs.Morford
Mackay of Huron'Township , found
this to be very true last Wednes-
day morning..
Allan, as a member of the staff
of the Bank of Commerce in down•
town London, at the corner of
Wellington Street on Duridai, was
at work when 'two with bank rob-
bers entered and with drawn guns
demanded the cash. The bank
vault was still closed by its time
lock:- a fact Which the two men
could not understand. However
they' took, over eleven thousand
dollars as it was.
Fleeing in a car'; they were cap
tured by police in a traffic "tie-
up" as the alarin got out cniickly.
Allan, home to Ripley for the
week end , was still somewhat
shaken by 'the robbery.
