Huron Federation Will Oppose New Power Plants The Huron County Federation of Agriculture decided at it's regular meeting held in the Kings- bridge School, to oppose the construction of power-plants any- where in Huron County. 'In a unanimous decision, the meeting found 'that this kind of construction is ,too damaging to farmland and social life. Concern was also expressed about cable 'TV and the effect this can have on. local TV pro- graming: leaving the rural corn- rnu,nity possibly with a much de.: creased service or no service at ' all. It was decided to' investigate thiS more fully before taking any' action. John gaunt, who won a NUffield scholarship in 1973, shoWed slides from his 6.-month long stay in the United Kingdom.
