playing hockey at the Wingham
arena.

received a painful injuri-to his

admitted to hospital April 6 with
head injuries suffered in a fall
while skating at the Teeswater
arena.
Thomas Foulon, age 9, Wing-
ham , received a laceration' to his

George Cardiff, R. R. 2, Brus-
sels, received a .facial laceration
suffered in a' fall in his barn.
Perry Pennington, Wingham,
was admitted to hospital with a
facial laceration when he fell on
his way to the Post Office.
'Joseph E. Smith, Wingham,
fell on Patrick. Street, Wingham,
and received facial lacerations.

On Friday, March 29 the pupils
at the Ripley Public School got
chocolate bars to sell to .earn
money for the Ripley Huron Rec-
reation Complex. The person who
sells the most wins a seven pound
chocolate bar.

over the week end. Mr. and Mrs,
Jim MacIntyre of Goderich were
also guests at the Moncrief home

NEWS
On Tuesday, April 2nd, the,
Brownie meeting started 'with
some of the Brownies playing
games while others practised skip-
ping backwards. Fairy Queen •
Rosemary GilinOre then set out the
Toadstool for Brownie Ring.
While the meeting was in pro-
gress-, Mrs. Webster was testing
for interest,badges. Anne Hamil-
ton and Rosalea Cameron passed
their test for Craft Badge and
Judy Hunter passed the Neighbour
Badge.
At Pow Wow Kimberley Sander-
son showed some carrot tops she
has growing in. water. Anne Ham•
ilton passed the articles around
that she had niade for. Craft Badge,
Tracey McDonagh had a scrap-
book about her trip to Disneyland.
Elizabeth Wilkins Showed her -
squares she had knit for her test.
Mrs. Webster went over the re-
quirements for the
Gardener Badge with the Pack.
The Brownies then played a
singing game "Have You,Ever:
Seen A Duck".
During work period tests passed
were Elizabeth Wilkins knitting,
Tracey McDonagh cleaning shoes
and Rosalea •Cameron had a note'
for keeping her room tidy. Annita
Damsma and Luanne MacLeod
showed that they could brush and
comb their hair. We then
practised for the enrolment of the
Tweenies next week.
The meeting closed with the
Squeeze and Taps.

The boys' final playoffs begin
on Tuesday, April 2. The boys'
teams that will play are Jeff Mac-
'ravish and Russell Militz. The
girls' teams are not yet determin-
ed.

Everyone in our class is hoping
they will win the big seven pound
chocolate bar which costs approx-
imately $23.80.

The' four teams participating were
Kinloss, LUcknow Kingsbridge
and Kintail. Kintail won the fin-
al game against Lucknow 4-2.
